Mido - Genius Fat Bloke, or Moody Buliemic Who Forgets To Be Sick?
Seriously, rumours abound he is returning as 4th striker to the hallowed green turf of WHL.
Discuss, good or bad.

Bad. Played well for one game, crap for two.
Plus, he's a khunt :)

Personally, I'd welcome him back - especially on loan. That way he's playing for his contract again.
Had he no gone to the African Nations Cup, he would have scored (in the games that Razzshat couldn't) and we would have had a few extra points to our name come the end of the season - possibly even sealing champions league qualification.
He was very difficult for opposing defenses to deal with - very physical and one of the best headers of the ball we've ever had (probably why Blackburn wanted him). He timed every jump perfectly and won almost every header that came his way.
The only thing was his weight and the potential attitude problems, which is why another loan deal would be great. Personally, I don't think it'll happen because he's already had to leave London and I can't see him picking up and coming back again.

As backup for Berbatov he is fine. Very good goals and assists record, we won't be relying on him either.

Agree. When he applied himself he was pretty much unstoppable - a bit like kanoute. as bigskizz pointed out tho he tended to have more 'off' games than 'on'. but with berbatov, keane and defoe ahead of him he will have no choice but to work his arse off whenever he gets his chance.
now if we can just sign a left winger...

I still cant figure out why everybody is down on Mido. I think having him back would be fantastic.

Genius fat bloke at times. Annoying lazy sod others...
If he has his head screwed on then he's a great player, if not then he's pointless.

....i feel Mido is both those options, at times when motivated and fit he is a good player, with good technique, an eye for goal etc......but when he turns into the "Moody Buliemic Who Forgets To Be Sick" he can be shocking.

is there a link for this? or just a thought?
i wouldnt mind it, he just needs to stop the attitude... and it would be great to have 4 quality strikers for our first euro campaign for a while.

No links, it's paper talk but been rumoured on various message boards for the past week.
He's not crap, come on... his debut was fantastic and he scored some good goals for us. It's his attitude that has let him down, if that's sorted (IF) then he's a good player.

heres one link, i think it would be great. He is a very solid striker in the air and lets remember hes still only 23 years old. He isnt as immature as he was in his Ajax or l'OM days.

Berbatov sounds as though he may be the real deal. We still need a backup target forward, IMHO. The problem with Mido, is that even when he was starting he ended up with a bad attitude last season. He'll be an absolute cancer if he's not even getting much playing time. Yes, we need a player of his abilities, but no, I don't think he can handle being a backup player. Jol will have to work some serious magic to fix this ... and he couldn't even keep him happy starting last season. Some people aren't controllable, and this is the main reason Mido has bounced around so often and has no interest now, clubs steer clear of that.

Could this mean that Defoe may be moving on? He could start for other teams like Newcastle, who desperately need a striker.

I saw Berbatov play against Liverpool in the Champions League two seasons ago now and he missed around 5 sitters which would of been easier to score, he them missed around the same in the following leg. Lets just hope he can deliver against the big teams. ;)

Do not post lies, just makes you look silly.
In the most recent Leverkusen-Liverpool game, Berbatov did not miss a lot of sitters, he had one major miss, as all strikers do, however he still created Leverkusen's consolation in the first leg and set up chances for other players.
Also in the meeting between Liverpool and Leverkusen in 2002, Berbatov played and scored against them in the critical 2nd leg which was part of Leverkusen's passage to the CL final. I'd say that is delivering against the big teams.

Have to agree with you on this one. I was happy with Mido's play last season, but I'm afraid his famous attitude issues may really show up when he's not starting. Hopefully Jol can work it out - but his attitude makes me nervous. If he stays positive, he'll have his chances to impress.
