I'll be at college this fall and I won't have FSC. I will not accept the fact that I can't see any of the games this year, I won't be able to take it. Is there any place I can get them on the computer or somehow manage to get games? How about radio?

FSN has game of the week on Tuesdays, which they were on once I think all last season. CenturyFM is a good place to go on the internet IF they have the rights to broadcast Premiership matches. Otherwise...you're kinda screwed, I'd think. A lot of times you can only access the streaming feeds from UK IPs.

Well that sucks. I really don't know if I can handle just reading about the matches. Really sucks. I mean I didn't get a ton of games on FSC last year, but enough to satisfy me.

Century is a good bet unless the Smoggies are playing at the same time. If we stay involved in the UEFA deep into the season, we will probably be playing on a good amount of Sundays instead of Saturdays, so you may be in luck.

The other idea is to find a soccer-friendly pub that would have the games on.

Maxxed Football Forums (http://www.fbtz.com/forum/index.php?)

Check the Football Video section in General Football Talk. You won't be able to watch any matches live, but you can download torrents after the fact if you have peer to peer software like Bittorrent.

setanta has a broadband feed. Looks like it starts at $11.99 a month, and then you may have to buy a football season pass on top of that. Not exactly sure what games they'll have available on it, there's no schedule yet, but it might be worth checking out if you're desperate.

You can get them for $19.95 pay per view- Live any EPL game on DirecTV, it's steep but if there's some that you just have to see....

Download the streaming programs from there and then on match day, they will provide links. Last year, one was able to watch five live Premiership matches a weekend if one wanted to.

I don't care how much it costs!!! And that last post, I could marry you man. If I could even watch 10 nufc matches I'll be in heaven. More would be nice, but I'll set the bar low :D

I took a look around the site and don't quite get it. Care to elaborate on some specifics?

That isn't bad at all, I might just get that as well. 20 bucks for all the live commentary is not bad, considering I won't be able to see every game. Only thing that sucks is that its 12 pounds for the first year and 40 pounds every year after that.

For live, free Internet streams, you can also try www.freefootball.org. You have to download some p2p streaming software and as along as you have decent firewall and virus scan you'll be OK.

The freefootball.org site basically just provides links to live satellite feeds that you can watch through p2p players. There are in-depth instructions posted on the site as to how to download the software and find the links, etc. They also have a running TV guide of what games are going on when.

The only downside is most of the games tend to be with Chinese commentary, though often they're able to find links with English commentary.

They should have most if not all games. I know they had everyone of the World Cup games live.

Here is the overview page for the different programs: http://www.myp2p.eu/Programs/Overview.htm
I would recommend installing most of them.
Then if you want to watch a match either click on weekdays, Saturday, or Sunday under Football on the left hand side (depends what day it is) and a list of matches will come up (here are the matches tomorrow: http://www.myp2p.eu/Weekdays.htm )
On matchdays, there will be links to the streams, so just click on the match you want to watch and a streaming program should pop up.

Where are you going to school? There's got to be a soccer-friendly place that shows games. If it's a bar, I'd go straight to the owner on day one and explain your passion. See if you can bypass those pesky little things like age-restrictions and the like.

Also, you could try to find a campus club that actively watches games. Maybe someone off-campus has DirecTV. Or maybe one of the fraternities (if they still exist?).

Thx,

Jay!

I'm an 18 year-old in the same position as colin. When I try to register for these forums, it tells me that registration has been disabled.

Any suggestions?
