So instead of the usual 3 games in out beloved Styria we only played two this year. A pity because the games were so far apart that most of the fans went back and forth to London inbetween games. As usual it was the same crowd heading to this tiny village right outside Vienna Airport. There isn't even a hotel or Pension in the place. We all stayed at the Airport Hotel Vienna in a town called Fischamend. In this place is a big hotel, a pub, a pizza place and this (NOT WORK SAFE!!!) - GO TO THE "Nachtclub" bit....... (http://www.villaerotica.at/) Anyhow, I landed at 3.20pm and was picked up and we got to the ground about 3.50pm. It was damm hot and a very stupid time to play a game. There was one place to get drink and the queue's were crazy. We had been offered VIP tickets but at €120 per ticket we decided this one was too much money.
The game was good fun, we were all in the same bit and singing songs which had the Austrians laughing. The best bit was we learnt the German for one of the songs which we started doing.......

The Austrians were joining in in the end and just cracking up. Im not sure on this, but I don't think a single one of us actually saw all thr goals. I know I missed 2 of them. The players seemed to be having a laugh as well and they made sure they acknowledged the 15 of us singing their names which was nice. After the game some stayed around the ground, I went back with others to the pub, had some nice food and then drank some vodka until 1am. Back to the hotel for more beers and last night conversation and obviously the talk by then was of the next trip abroad - god, it's three days away on Friday. At somepoint I'll get a rest......:rolleyes: :D
