They are still only 1 pt. behind you and will finish ahead of you at the end of the season just like I predicted. :)

That whole lower mid section of the table is pretty close.

I thought you were kidnapped and brainwashed by mormons.

Mormons? What are those?

Is this the worst time of year for soccer or what? I can't wait for European action to start back up again.

Well, we've managed to stay afloat in L1. What a great week. No LePen in the second round and no drop into L2.

The club and the supporters deserve this and I'm happy for the little club that could from Lorrain.

*Pats himself on the back..... :)

He's back ! Welcome again, dude.

So much work to do, I've been to busy to even watch a single match, let alone go off on my diatribes here on BS.

I'll try to do some more posting though!

As any real ASNL supporter, Sl7vk has a second undeclared job, so he can donate to the 2007-2008 budget.

Sorry, but I think I could complete the budget without getting a second job.... Unfortunatly.

The bright side is that PSG arent doing much better and they supposedly have a lot more money.

I don't think PSG are doing that bad a job this offseason because they're essentially taking out their trash (Cissé) while buying arguably the best guy available in L2 (Digard).

As for Nancy, I think it's fine if you don't add that many players as long as you're able to hold on to Dia and Diakhaté.

Apparently my club (Dynamo Kiev) is very serious about buying Diakhate. They're willing to give an arm and a leg for this guy. Could anybody give me some background info on this player?

Your team can't afford him.

Chelsea can, but Dynamo Kiev? No.

I think you're talking about 15 million Euros for Diakhate.

Well, you'd be surprised. DK is a party gov't sponsored club, so we have ways of ''redirecting" money..

The last unofficial report is that Diakhate is in Kiev with his agent and lawyer. They're talking about 7-8 million right now...methinks

Not a good deal for the club or for the player. Why get exiled in Kiev, when the rumours are swirling of Lyon, Bayern, Juve, and Chelsea?

Well, a few reasons really..

1. money; the player wages in DK are outrageous, far higher than anything a player of the same caliber would earn in a western club
2. guaranteed place the first squad; in chelsea a player would face very very stiff competition from the likes of terry, carvalho, ben haim..in Kiev, he would pretty much get cemented into the line up right away
3. champions league; the club regularly plays in the champions league, so many players look at it as a stepping stone to more elite clubs.

From everything I've read, though, I believe Diakhaté likes being at Nancy as he's a leader and his teammates really like him. Whether he stays in Lorraine or heads to Kiev, he will likely be the best defender on the team.

Wow, those three reasons sound perfect for a player that is retiring or on the down leg of their career.....

Should of gotten Beckham when you had the chance.

Do you have any links regarding any of this?
