I have a question about the most-often-sung soccer anthem. I'm sure you know it, every team's fans pretty much sing it.

I know the techno version, or what I think is the remix, is called Carnival de Paris by Dario G (was used in "The Mean Machine"). I was wondering if anyone here knows what the original tune is called and where it came from? Was it part of a movie or a TV show, or anything? Does anyone know how it caught on in the stands?

If anyone can provide any information, I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

It's from the intro of an Italian song by Dario Baldan Bembo called Amico è from 1982 and from the Italian quiz show "Superflash".
