Bosteros, this isn't for you to come make fun of us. This isn't for you to chide at our club. This is for us, the Gallinas, to really discuss our club.

Our club owes money. Alot, alot of money. This isn't good, and even though we can't really do much from here, maybe we'd feel better if we could discuss ways to solve it. Contacting rich buisnessmen to buy it out of the hands of that bastard Aguilar are one, and now I open the floor to the rest.

What I'd like to know is how in the hell is this possible after all of the players we've sold over the past couple of years. It has to at least over $50 million. Someone needs to do some serious explaining here.

Fellow Gallinas, I propose that we write a letter to Randy Lerner, the American billionaire who was recently spruned in his attempt to buy Aston Villa. Surely, we can convince him that River Plate is a more sound investment, with a larger fanbase, a greater potential to succeed, as well as International marketability. All those in favor say AYE.

This could greatly benefit River and maybe with an owner we won't have players complaining about their pay. Is there any other team in Argentina with an owner?

River owes many of its players money, and some have left because of it (Caceres, Figueroa*). Not only that, but River owes in the region of 50 Million US$, if I read the article right, but at the least 30 Million US$, to banks and stuff.

No, the last thing I would do is laugh at River over this, especially after what Boca went through in the late 80's and early 90's. I want River to be strong and I want Boca to beat them when they're at their best.
Really we cannot laugh at our opponents, because the corruption is ruining all of Argentine futbol. As a Boca fan I want to see River strong, and other proud historical teams like Independiente and Racing as well, just look at where they are. It is sad.
Of course one thing we can do nothing about is the international economic reality. We will never see the day when a Rattin can play his whole career for Boca or a Merlo can become a pillar for River. You get Mascherano for a couple of years, now we have Gago, but how long do these players stay? The whole situation sucks for the fans. But at least if the teams would sanitize their economics a bit, things can be better than they are now.
Anyway, we cannot hope to go back to the glory days of our football anytime soon, but I hope River can bounce back ASAP. As I said I want to see us beat you guys when you're at your best. There would be little pleasure in beating a shadow of what River is supposed to be, and I imagine you'd feel the same way about Boca.

Tiene un pasivo de 25 millones de dólares y un déficit operativo mensual de un millón de dólares. Vendió jugadores por 90 millones y compró por 35 y en la última época no ganó títulos. Aguilar responde a todo.
