I don't know whether this is a good idea for a thread or not but I thought I'd give it a go.
For starters, what happened to the Malaysian kids we were supposed to be trying to sign who battered our youth team a WHILE BACK?
Also has anyone heard of 2 Everton youth players called Rodwell and Baxter? The head of Everton's academy is supposed to have said that one of them is a striker who is better than Rooney was at his age and United were rumoured to have tried to sign him for £5m. I was wondering if anyone had more info on them.

You very seldom get any official information when we sign youth players. I don't think it's something they want to advertise. Also they do not want to bring too much attention to the kids at an early age, it will just pressure them too much.

Any non EU youngsters will never be the part of the official Man Utd Youth setup as they can't get work permits. But we may keep tabs on the, making deals with other clubs, getting first options. such things.

but £5m sounds a ridiculous fee for an academy player. He'd have to be extraordinarily extraordinary for that to happend. I'd say it's simply made up.

We have signed three brazilans (two this past June). They will eventually go to feeder clubs in Portugal or Belgium for 3 years to get an EU passport.

IIRC, the two Brazilian twins we signed from Fluminense have EU passports so will be ready to come to Old Trafford in a couple of years.
