...or, at least, it was the most popular choice in the poll (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=349866) to name the Philly MLS supporters club.

So...

Anyone have any suggestions as to non-MLS events we can meet up for while we're waiting to hear about a team? (And of course it might be a long wait...)

Anyone have any banner/t-shirt/sign design ideas to kick around?

Anyone know where we can get a few dozen Benjamin Franklin wigs and glasses cheap?

eddieba's idea is to make our inaugural appearance when the Wiz play in the Meadowlands in October. I have a tshirt guy that could whip up some shirts for cheap - either sky blue or maroon. I guess we just need a hardcore looking Ben Franklin picture.

I looked here http://www.library.upenn.edu/exhibits/pennhistory/ben/ben.html

I am in for wherever you guys want to meet to get this thing rolling. I'm assuming were all over 21, so what a bar in Manayunk for center city somewhere?

The Red Bulls/Wizards match is a great idea.

Thank you, thank you. But guys, I want to keep this hush-hush. I want RBNY to have no idea what hit them. What do you all think?

And for the record I hate the name Ben's Brigade. Ben Franklin is overused and overrated in Philly. And he's not even from Philly...he's from Boston.

It's too close to being a ripoff of Sam's Army. I'd like to come up with a new name.

As some of you may know by now, I'm all about starting up and being a part of a supporters club. But I have to say I very much dislike and disagree with the choice in name.

I don't even think we ever REALLY decided.

I have a better idea. How about when we all actually do meet in person for the first time, we have an intelligent and "real-life" discussion in regards to the name we choose--rather than relying on an anonymous and somewhat ambiguous internet poll which might include people not even helping form a supporters group. Real-life discussions with people face-to-face are more fruitful, in my opinion (especially when you consider most of us have never met before).

That sounds like the best idea. I second CyphaPSU's suggestion.

The minute we get confirmation of our team appearing next season, we should set up a time to meet.
