This guy was awesome for America de Cali, especially in the Copa Libertadores of 2004 I believe. Then River decided to buy him and didn't play to the coaches expectations. Then he ended up at San Lorenzo and after that I haven't heard of him for awhile.Very good ball control.River got him to play as a left back but lacks in recovering pocession.I think he is better playing as de "11" in where in River last few games i've seen him in was alot more of a factor then coming from the defense.
But then again I haven't seen him play in a long time.

After San Lorenzo he played in Brazil. He's best friends with Vargas (Boca). Virviescas is an excellent player with the ball, but he's a bit light. He reminds me of Zapata from River. Same type of player. He needs minutes and confidence to show his potential, but he's a good buy.

This is quite the overstatement.
Truth be told, all he did in that tournament was deke out a river player, run down the side and cross in the ball for a gol. That was enough for river to buy him, and you guys sure found out what he truly was.
And that is also why he has bounced around for his entire career and never really found a team to stay with.
