Anyone that went to kaiserslautern the night before the game know the name of the song they would play for the Italians. For those who were not there they would play an american song like born in the usa and then this italian song and I want to try to find it. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Born in Long Island?
Kidding.
The funniest song they sang (I thought) was the adaptation of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes (c'e solo italia). Cheeky buggers.

(To tune of That's Amore)
When your league is a mess, cause you pay off the refs That's Azzuri...
When you dive all the time and you cry and you whine That's Azzuri...That's Azzuri...
:D

I watched on television, but I heard Azzurro by Adriano Celentano after one of the Italy matches, I think it was the Ghana match. If you figure out the song let us know.
Cuore Azzurro by Pooh was the official Italy song.

The Volare song was just a simple "I-talia, oooooooooooo, I-talia, oooooooo."
BTW, if you are a fan of Italian "morbo" (the joy of kicking someone while down, usually via song), pick up the excellent A Season with Verona (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&isbn=1559706287&itm=10).
If nothing else, you'll learn the excellent and very handy:
Non si capisce,
ma come cazzo parlate.

You might be thinking of the "Triumphal March" from Aida (the Verdi opera). There's an MP3 at this link (http://www.kendormusic.com/str2004/9627.htm), though you have to wait about 30 seconds until it gets to the part I'm thinking of.
They play that at a lot of Italian matches and a couple of times the Italians sang it during the US game, though they weren't singing very much!
