Is this the year that needs to step it up or risk just being a player that will never make the jump to europe?

 This move surprises me a lot. I would've preferred him going to Manchester City, but Portsmouth is good enough for him too I guess.;)

Yea, pretty surprising to me too. Manchester City is a better team, but whatever. I remember at one point he could have gone from La U Straight to Marseille. Or thats what Libero said

In a way I'm glad he didn't go straight from la U to Marseille. Going to Argentina first is important because they get to learn the mañas from the argentines like Solano did. I was waiting 'til this weekend because the Manchester City coach was announcing a new player's name. I was hoping it was Vargas' but Portsmouth beat them.

HAHAHA MANCHESTER CITY A BETTER TEAM? hahaha you guys made my day...SIKE BITCHES.

Dude Portsmouth is better (coach and the players coming this season). This team is gonna be the Wigan of last year. Watch.....GOOD that Vargas is in ENGLAND. But it's gonna be a tough task especially with the South Americans having problem adapting to English Football.

hopefully he follows in the footsteps of Solano and not Zuñiga, still i think his stay in Argentina will help him

time to change the name of this thread?

cool for vargas i think this could suit him well, hope the trainer sees him as a midfielder rather than defender

also when they are up against newcastle it will literally be a vargas vs solano clash since they are will play on the same flank :)
