Off course I meant to write Hamburger SV, sorry for that spelling mistake. Didn't want to rant around (as in the Hanover thread), it just seems a bit odd to me.
I mean, I don't write Liverpooler FC, do I? ;-)

2. Bayern Munich
3. Schalke

Every few years there comes a season where Bayern doesn't win. bremen is looking particularly strong and i think they are capable of beating Bayern even though me placing them at the top of the list is more hope than belief. Other than that, i think the four BL heavyweights will be the same as last year, though i'd be surprised if HSV did just as well.
Many teams are capable of fighting for the other European spots. I put VfB in 5th on the list in the hope that they will be back in Europe for 07/08. I'm not sure if they'll make it. Dortmund will be strong this year i think. Financial difficulties are behind them for now and they have a strong squad. Leverkusen may have been especially strong in the second half of last season, but i don't think skibbe can keep Leverkusen getting these results for too long, and that's why i think they'll finish lower than last season. Gladbach are ambitious and that is why i put them higher than most. They won't make Europe, but they will be decent and it'll be a small improvement to this season. Hertha have been completely uninspiring this summer so i expect them to slide down in to the midfield of the midfield. Wolfsburg aren't as weak as last year suggested, they won't be fighting relegation this year, but they won't be making Europe either. Nuernberg should be solid again.

bochum are the strongest of the newly promoted sides in my opinion, and i think they are well-equipped to avoid the drop. I don't expect Hannover to be moving upwards in the BL this season, in fact, they could even go down if things go badly. Aachen are ambitious and have good finances and good team ethic. They could be a new sympathetic team in the BL and if they play well like i expect, they won't go down. I don't think Frankfurt will either, but their Uefa campaign could end up putting their BL status in danger if they don't pay attention. They won't be making a huge leap forward, but i don't think they'll go down.

I picked Mainz for relegation though i'm not at all sure about the choice, i just needed someone. Bielefeld and Cottbus i'm confident will go down, they are on paper the weakest BL sides.
