I went to Germany for the first half of the cup and enjoyed watching the games in German - despite my very rusty German - mostly because I knew Balboa was waiting for me when I got home.

However, in the Amsterdam Airport I was treated to such bliss - the BBC broadcast.

The announcing was so fluid, ebbing with the flow of the game. Almost rythmic in it's quality with great subtle humor laced throughout. I really enjoyed it.

So, now I want each game from the whole cup in its entirety on DVD from the BBC. Does anyone know if they offer something like this or if there's another way to get it.

on DVD... nope. you may be able to find torrents of games from the BBC online, but they're lower quality than DVD. there is also a good BBC 1-hour compilation of all 2006 World Cup goals floating around... again much lower quality than DVD, though.

That BBC "all the goals" show sucks.

They only show the goal once. No replays.

In the games decided by penalties, they only show the last penalty taken (so it's Lehman's save on Cambiasso, C. Ronaldo's made penalty, and Grosso's made penalty). They can do a lot more than that.
