Im finding it weird trying to break the habit of looking at this page every few min during the work day.
Here we are almost a month after the last game and I still keep looking for some odd reason.....is anyone else in the same boat as me?

I'm not much of an artist, but I am having a bit of withdrawl. Putting more effort into club ball until the Nats' next game!

I do the same thing every day after work. I'll check the page about 5 times before I go to bed...it's just sad really.

its summer so I have nothing to do for the first half of the day and I find myself checking for new articles and such on the nats , but they are pretty scarce , apart from things about a the coaching position .
I'm just depressed cause I have to wait a while until the nats take the field again ....

I now drink all my beer from my .21 liter Kolsch glass. (For those of you who spent time in Koln, Shiner (Texas) makes a decent Kolsch.)

That's good to know SUNDROP. I was just looking for a Kolsch equivalent here locally today.
Man I wish I would have brought back one of those .21L Kolsch glasses though. Damn.

Yea, I miss Germany. While taking my family to the zoo today, I met a couple from Germany. We talked about some the things I enjoyed while visiting. I must get back within the next few years.

I too miss Germany. My trip was definitely the best of my life; spent a month during the World Cup in Germany while attending all the US games. Stayed with a friend in a small town near Wuppertal and enjoyed every minute of it. Most everyone was extremely curious to know what an American thought of their country. Currently, I am planning on going to Euro 2008 spending a week between Austria and Switzerland then spending a week back in Germany. As for withdrawl from the national team...I check this site daily and cannot wait til Klinsmann (fingers crossed) is named coach and we start to move forward toward South Africa or wherever it may be moved to.

Sadly, after about a day and a half back it work, it was as though I never left. And I don't even hate my job. The good news is the missus's eyes have been opened and she's into SA in 2010.

I got a couple of the Kolsch glasses for myself & two for my son. We got the Sion and Gaffel. Excellent beer & great way to go back to memories of Germany when drinking out of them at home! Can you only get that Shiner beer in Texas? We're having trouble finding anything remotely close here in California.

My wife and I had a World Cup/Germany theme party this weekend. Served sausages, potato salad, cabbage, beer, etc. Set up a soccer goal in the backyard and let people have at it. Also drew up a quiz for everyone to take with the winners getting world cup knick-knacks (pins, cups, etc.). Had to hand out yellow cards for those that spilled their beer.

Your party sounds like a blast! Love the yellow card idea! Do you have recipes for the potato salad & cabbage, "German style"?

Definite withdrawal. Had to watch the Ghane game again last week. Still clinging to the hope that it was just a dream and we still have a chance to advance. I'm just dying for another Nats game.

WOW...Glad to read that I am not the only one going through withdraw!
I had a great time in Germany for the WC, I spent the last 17 days there, staying in Berlin and criss crossing the country by train to go to the different venues.
The Germans were spectacular and set the bar really high. Everything was great there, from the weather, the people, the organization , the Fans fest....
I am sitting sometimes day dreaming, at the office, about the whole experience!

Nah, we bought the food at a German grocery here in town.
