I was gonna ask that same question about the starting lineups music- I googled a bunch of different words like "fifa" "anthem" "stadium "entrance" "starting lineups" etc, and couldn't find it, what the heck is the name of that song?

It is actually simply called "Fifa Anthem" and the most popular version was recorded by Franz Lambert. If you LimeWire "Fifa Anthem" download the one with all the boxes ( kind of like this: []) in the title. I would gladly email it to anyone, PM me or post in this thread, I don't know which email address is connected to my BS account.

i don't know about that...i thought celebrate the day was the biggest (and oficial) song....that's the same song that played while goleo and the ball would go around the countries on the big TVs in the stadiums, just before the match started.

As for the closing song...only in the knockout rounds, when the game finished, they played a song something like "celebrate the champions" or here come the champions" it was actually not that good. Celebrate the day, however, is my favorite oficial song since Ricky Martin did his 94' thing.

I did have somewhat of an idea of the plight of english supporters, but what really is holding my mind hostage since i was in germany is that i inmediately understood everything you say with just listening to the song in the stadium. That's what makes it perfect.
I actually believed that football was coming home because the thropy was coming home...i didn't know that it was due to the EURO being held in england...

Now, thinking about Shakira ..."i didn't know anything about football, what's a goal, etc... i am going to have learn...i will read about it" makes me furious that she was given the honor of being in WC2006.

On top of that, she is colombian...I am thinking what she said is almost blasphemy in that region of the world...:eek:

I tried to download the song FIFA anthem with the "[[[[[[[" in the bear share and the file was 137 kb, to short, but my antivirus cancelled it due to a TROJAN virus, is this a kind of joke ???
