Rangers. Just because I think Celtic could be a bit of a joke this year. Still think we have a bit of bedding in to do.

Celtic will be fine if they do the right thing and sack Strachan and get a real manager who can find players.

The football in the SPL can be more exciting then in the English Premiership,
mate. Sure the quality of the teams are not there as Celtic and Rangers
could survive in the EPL, but the games in the SPL are not as dull as the EPL
can be at times.

What about predictability?
p.s. Who do you think might win the Premiership? Oh, and who do you think will get the Champions Leag................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Exactly atleast the SPL was intresting past the new year, the EPL was over in Sept. All though were struggling a bit i think things will take shape shortly. It will take some time for the gers to catch up and the jambos have not done much of anything to make them a a serious contender.

Don't talk pish. Celtic have signed a buch of Hibs players, Premiership rejects and nobodies, if Hearts can get close to the consistency they had under Burley last season, with a steady manager, they'll be challenging.
Celtic could be heading for 3rd place if Strachan dosen't get things sorted.

3rd might be a bit high as hard as that is for me to say. celtic have not looked very good on this polish/american tour and something has to give.
They must get something for Petrov, he's been great for celtic but it's time to move hime on and get cold hard cash for new players.

I wouldn't take the friendly results as a decent indicator. I just think that, looking at the players Celtic have signed and the way the team is and the players that have stayed, and the fact that I expect Hearts and Rangers to be much better this season, I can't see Celtic winning the league comfortably at all.
I wouldn't say that Celtic have stregnthened any area of the side, I think, at best, they've replaced like for like and will either lose Petrov or keep him moping around for the season, either way, it doesn't look too good, and there's the Champions League this year.
It'll be very interesting if Hearts get into the CL ( or UEFA Cup) and Rangers get into the UEFA Cup group stage.

I may not like the thought of it but I am in agreement with you here. I know its preaseason but they have had 5 winless matches, aren't signing anyone yet, losing a goal scorer....

We have signed 4 players btw!
hartson might have scored goals, but he did little else cept going out of a weekend and getting wrecked in various glasgow boozers, he was slow, unfit and if the ball wasnt played to him he just wasnt interested in it.
The front line being built around zurawaski and his movement off the ball is a good thing, riordan will score hartsons goals for him and be a much more lively player into the bargain.
The defence is what im worried about, not to mention central midfield, cos as bad as petrov/keane looked to me petrov/lennon is brown trousers time, one doesnt want to be here and the other is even more past it than the one that packed it in.
Thats said though we looked rocky last season at this time, losing 5-1 to slovak minnows and then being bloody lucky to get a 4-4 draw in motherwell, we wont have a good hearts side to count on this season though to pressure the forces of darkness, who are still crap, but now have a half decent manager in place.

I'm saying Rangers and I'm not just saying that as an arogant Rangers fan.
We had the better squad last season but under McLeish most players wern't performing 100%. Le Guen however has a record of imprving players and getting a 100% with them, as well as finding talent in younger players. He's already done changes which could see Rangers be a better team than last year.
Celtic havn't imprssed me in the Transfer market but I would say they would get 2nd. Their main weakness is the same as last season, their defense and you've lost one of your best your goal scorer.
Hearts I don't think will even get into the top 3 if they don't do something fast as I can see a managerial switch sometime this season and they havn't even baught anyone whiile losing 2 players (regulars may I add).
Celtic have had the better start this season (4-1 win) but we're still to see Rangers play.

I was very pleased with Rangers yesterday. 2 – 1 going on 8 - 1! Boyd would have had a field day! Adam was brilliant. Buffel was in fine form apart from his finishing. I’ll be interested to see what PLG does when Ferguson, Boyd and Burke are back.
Nice to see us playing attractive football again.

you still dont kill teams off though, all well and good saying going on 8-1 but you still only managed to put away the 2 and your defence is still shaky looking, up against pace and a team that can put the ball away I think yous would fall apart. Injuries to boyd and prso and your toothless.
Im begining to feel a bit more confident about this season.

Only played one game so a bit early to be saying we don't kill teams off!
I'd much rather have our defence as well when I compare it to Celtics.

Aye but we were rubbish last season. Early days but the signs were encouraging. Once Fergie is back we can drop Hemdami. Then he has the headache of trying to fit in Burke, Sionko, Adam, Buffel, Prso and Boyd into those four positions. Good competition for places!
Get the feeling it will be a lot closer this season.

Of course it will be a lot closer this season, anyone who thinks we finnish twenty points clear is dilousnal. While it will be a bit closer Rangers still lack quality depth and like the fellas said before win games 1-0 or 2-1 is going to be tough especially as more and more sides build for speed up front and counter attack before men can back which is the reason all the GAA
