That's great it starts with an earthquake......err, or not.
At any rate, how much is Kaka rumored to be costing us? £70M? The annual GDP of Chad? 10% of ManUtd's refinanced debt? Are there enough fingers and toes in the world to count such amounts?

Hopefully A. Cole in for Del Boy and leave it at that.

Juventus' vastly experienced French defender Lilian Thuram is being linked with Arsenal
as a possible replacement for Ashley Cole.
Cole is being linked with a £16 million
move to rivals Chelsea, who are on the
lookout for a new left back with Asier Del Horno set for a return to Spain.Yeah, Sky has this 'story' listed as well. As I said before, that quip Cole made at us was a red herring and it seems Zambrotta wants to stay in Italy.

And why would we need Kaka? Yeah, Kenyon has put Stamford Bridge's development on hold for Kaka...This is one rumour that was dead before whatever idiot started it in the press.

Yep. We would only need Kaka IF all our wingers broke their legs and even then the price of 50-70 million quid is a little far fetched, we could buy 2 or 3 quality players for that.
RE: The article, Jose said one in and one out, now what does that mean regarding the Huth situation? Is he classified as already gone I wonder?

Wayne Bridge.:D
I still say bring in Taiwo, defends better than Cole, great freekicker, young, does not have Cole's baggage.
Edit: Taiwo supposedly off to Valenceia for 12 million Euro (or 1.9 billion Nigerian that I need help bringing to the US half to you if you send your bank acct. # and social sec # :D)

Well we have been circling this LB area for a long while. Most of us think that Wayne Bridge isn't too bad. Gallas will have his time at LB too.
Seems like we HAVE to buy a LB. Zam and Roberto Carlos are too old imho. They would also need time to settle into the Prem, life in England, the language, etc.
IF it was up to me - and it clearly isn't - I would 'make do' with Bridge and Gallas and maybe bring in a young LB like Baines (Wigan) or a player from our yoof set-up.
Is Ashley Cole any good? Yes he is. Is he all that he is cracked up to be? meh, not sure that he is. and so on....the LB story got boring a while back eh? and it is still not resolved. Ho-Hum.

I can't believe you guys don't want Zambrotta. I would say we might see more then the 1 in and 1 out that Jose has suggested. Looking at our current 1st team squad.
KEEPERS - Carlo, Cech, Hilario
DEFENDERS - LB (Zambrotta/Cole/Carlos/DelBoy), Bridge, Terry, Gallas, Carvalho, CB (Huth/Macienne/Alex/Other), Ferreira, Geremi
MIDFIELDERS - Makelele, Diarra, Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Mikel
WINGERS - Cole, Robben, Duff, SWP
FOWARDS - Sheva, Drogba, Kalou, Crespo
Thats 25 players. I remember Jose saying he wouldnt want more then 24/25 players in the squad. I still expect Crespo to go back to Italy when the dust settles. We wont be any worse then last season with Shev>Crespo and i asume Kalou>Cole from what i've heard.
Now i would like to keep Huth or see Macienne step up (as they wont get much time with the other 3 anyway) and would love to see Zambrotta in the sqaud. Call it a day, go to the tab for a multibet for the treble and i'm a happy man.

bobby I would be suprised to see all those players in the first team. IMO Hilaro has been signed a cheap option as a third choice/reserve keeper that wont moan when he is not playing.
Probably a couple of the youngsters going out on loan as well- Mancienne, Jimmy Smith, possible Obi Mikel
Interesting to see if he does bring in another LB, which seems to be the case, who that LB will be. I suppose most people seem to be torn between Zambrotta and A. Cole.

Cheers boys, I see some familiar faces I think from the espn boards, like Clan, Prawn (maybe), Bridgemonkee...Miss the old blue boys and good men from other sides with quality to speak. Now ESPN is full of racists and trolls. Thank god I joined up on this board. Been posting on that pi_sspile soccernet since '98. Man, it's much better here. Cheers!
Damn lad, you've got a good memory.
I haven't posted over there in years.

According to Chelea TV - Duff left training because of blisters on his feet.
It was nothing to do with a 'reported' move to the squids.
According to CTV anyway.
