The signing of Christian Wilhelmsson really surprised me. I have no idea how they were able to get this player. This player is a regular starter for Sweden and is still in his prime at 26 years old. Nantes arent known for spending money to sign quality players and I have no idea why he would choose Nantes over other teams. Maybe I am overrating this player a bit but from what I have seem of him he is very high quality and I dont know why bigger clubs than Nantes wouldnt want him.

I agree. Wilhemsson isn't HUGE, but he's a pretty big name for what Nantes have been attracting in recent years. Stojkovic seems to be a player with a bright future ahead of him as well.
Keep in mind that the last team not named Lyon to win the Ligue 1 was none other than Les Canaris.

Nantes sold Toulalan for 7m euros. They should have some money to spend.

That's exactly why they have to sell first in order to go on recruiting. Besides, defensive midfielders are not that difficult to replace.

Well I know PSG were interested in him a while back and I still cant figure out why he'd want to go to Nantes of all places. Maybe I am overrating him and hes not as good as I think.

Maybe he was just fascinated. You know, they have a nice little stadium, passionate fans, and the bright yellow kits..
Otherwise it's just inexplicable unless we're overrating him.

Well with Kallstrom to Lyon, Elmander to Toulouse and Wilhelmsson to Nantes it looks like the Swedes are invading France ! Kallstrom or Wilhelmsson who would you guys say is better ?

Wilhelmsson is better. Nice for Nantes, but Wilhelmsson is a player for a cl club imo. Bad move for his own sake.
