A little phrase about the club that you see under the link to the team boards. Like under the Arsenal one it says something about Highbury.

'Home of the Biscuitmen'

Don't you mean "Homeless Biscuitmen"? When did Huntley & Palmers shut down? '70-something?

How 'bout "Sing with The Royals", "From Elm Park to Mad Stad", or even "NA NA NA NA NA NA"?

Any other suggestions?

For now: The Prem's only undefeated side.

Cinderella in Royal Blue.

The Little Club that Could.

Today the Prem. Next stop, the Champions' League.

Yup, as soon as I see a definitive response.

I guess I could start a poll based on the suggestions given.

The factory building is still there, but you're right who these days associates Reading with biscuits? A lot of people in the UK don't even know the name Huntley and Palmer anymore.

Even the 'Royals' nickname is a bit of a cheek; Reading might be the main town in the Royal County of Berkshire, but it's only the Royal County of Berkshire because of Windsor Castle.

But anyhoo my suggestion is 'By Royal appointment'.

I've put in the request to have it changed. It should hopefully happen over the next couple of days.

I'm perfectly happy with our current tagline "By Royal Appointment", but it came to me this morning in the shower (hmmm, thinking about Reading in the shower... is that strange?) that if we ever decide to put up a fresh tagline I would vote for "The Little Engine That Could". Just seems to fit our hard-working never say die club.

Credit where credit is due: checking back in this post I see that last summer mateofelipe suggested "The Little Club That Could".

Cinderella in Royal Blue.........refering to EPL promotion but still apt even now. Lets hope the glass slippers fit at the end of the story/season.

"Come on Reading..." seems to be the common cry from the supporters on this board, but "By Royal Appointment" has worked just fine up to this point.
