How has he been going, noticed he got a few starts lately - i'm presuming that's through injury???

He played solidly against Schalke & Hamburg (both games ended 0:0) and probably will get awarded with a new contract until 2009.

Also heard Matthew Spiranovic, a new young signing has been very very impressive in the training camp matches and could get a shot in the Bundesliga very soon - any word?....

That's true. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the team in a few matches after the winter break...

The 1st time when I watched him (a benefit derby match "Fürth vs Nürnberg"), I was sure that he's a great talent!

Btw: Joshua Kennedy is back after his long-term injury

Really impressive performance against Stuttgart (like in the "Vorrunde")! However, I've seen also a few weak points in their defence ... so I think we have a chance to beat them at Borussia-Park on Tuesday.

I heard that Spiranovic was on the bench but Beauchamp and Heffernan were injured.

yeah...our number 1 central back glauber is injured and out, so is his backup beauchamp and that's why we have to play our old czech man nikl at the moment :D

still, pretty impressive performance last saturday. also a great deal signing zwetschge. pretty nice time being a club-fan at the moment

Hi not to sure if this is the best place to re-introduce myself I have been posting under Bluechester in the England forum. I made this account a while back and never used it. It's my username for posting for My Bundesliga team which is obviously Nürnberg. Until recently I hadn't been following the Bundesliga as much this year, because I didn't have GOL TV which (I am getting next week) :D. So I have pretty much been watching lots of EPL and following City my favourite english team of course. I tend to get into the League alot more if I can actually watch it on tv I hate it when I can't watch Bundesliga all I can get is Internet reports and short TV highlights which they never show Nurnberg. When they took Bundesliga off Fox Sports world I was pretty pissed:mad: and hadn't payed really close attention to it since just kept up with standings and news so I never really felt like making any posts in here until I can actually watch the games and really follow or else I'll just be talking out my a$$ . But now with GOL tv thank you ;) I can finally follow my beloved Bundesliga once again. Sorry bout the long post in here!!!

Yeah they have been playing good the last year and a half 2 years really reinserting themselves back into the Bundesliga, it will be so sweet now that i'll be able to watch some games, I've always liked the Bundesliga mainly well beacuse I'am 90% German and my family originated from the Nürnberg-Fürth area which is why I started following FCN some years ago. But sometimes it gets hard to constantly follow the Bundesliga here unlike EPL. I missed the first half of the season and really excited about the second half of the season

I'm happy for guys like you! I just lived in the USA for three years and was at the mercy of FSW for my BL coverage. It sucked!!!

Hey, what town did your family originate from? I lived in Erlangen for over 10 years and it's still my "German Hometown".

I'm in the Erlangen/Nuernberg area just about every other weekend.

That I'am not to entirely sure I've heard from some of my aunts that we came from Oberasbach and others say Zirndorf but I can't be sure. Most of my family that came over after the war have since passed on, but I really want to find out exactly where we came from, all I know that it was the Nürnberg area. I have never been to Germany hoping to go soon:) so I really don't know

I know both villages. They are both just west/southwest of Nuernberg practially right next to one another.

We used to have an artillery base out in Zirndorf and Zirndorfer used to be one of my favorite local beers.

Thanks for that infomation man. I was just curious!!
