I was at the game yesterday at the away section and I thought that Beauchamp was quite excellent. Spiranovic did well after Reinhardt got injured. Reinhardt's injury does look fairly bad though.:o he got injured when he collided with Fiedler.
Sorry I missed you. I was in that area this weekend, but there was no way I was getting free for that match. Only had internet access shortly on Sunday afternoon.
Kicker says Reinhardt has a torn thigh muscle and they think he's done for the season.

Well, the hostel Keith suggested to me was right next to the Red Light District :D Wonder why Keith suggested that (thanks btw, actually this is the best hostel I have stayed in all of Europe, even better than in Berlin). :D

I think the hostel he's referring to is the one in Nuernberg. However, I believe those same people have one in Munich too.

Which is good for him, because he'd be doing nothing but sitting anyhow.

Nobody interested in this thread anymore?
What an incredible season for 1. FC Nürnberg! Cup final in Berlin after the impressive 4:0 against Frankfurt and spot 5 in the league at the moment. Europe is soooo close like never before since many, many years (1988, when they lost after extra time to AS Roma)...
I think they should build up a memorial for the honorary member of BMG, Hans Meyer, as soon as possible! ;)

I'm glad that there's no Bayern in the Final. At this rate, it would be surprising if Nurnburg don't get into Europe. Is Spiranovic actually playing well or would the Aussie media be wetting their pants? I think it's the latter but who has actually seen him play?

I've seen him play against Hertha and he's nothing really spectacular IMHO. Beauchamp is very good though. There's a reason why Nurnberg have the best defense in the Bundesliga, and he's one of the reasons!

considering he is only 18, never played a professional league before and also is far far away from home, i can only say he is doing a damn well job. he is one of our future stars i say :o
about this season:
i can't write much, i'm still too drunk to find the fitting words to describe my feelings :D

Beauchamp is very good though. There's a reason why Nurnberg have the best defense in the Bundesliga, and he's one of the reasons!Quite remarkable for somebody who played in the A-League last season and also in his first season in Europe.
I saw the goals today and they were pretty good. Galasek's free-kick shouldn't have gone in because Nikolov didn't position his wall properly and his own positioning was very poor also. Engelhardt scored from a neat volley after Saenko's good work on the left, Saenko's finish was neat after a good through-ball and the last one from the sub came from a good counter-attack.

The Cup final in Berlin should be a "special" game for the goalie Raphael Schäfer. ;)
