Last night, my son's team played the Class VI soccer team indoors at the Westminster Sports Center(formerly Amaya-east of 90th and Harlan). I just wanted to say that I thought that it was a really cool extension of the supporters group. They had lots of players for an indoor team; played with great spirit; and I hope had fun. I think that is a great advertisement for a supporters group and one that ought to make being a part of a supporters group even more attractive. We have so far to go in this country in the way that we support teams. I think that the organization of both the Rapids supporters groups is excellent and I hope that when the new stadium opens, they will get even more members. Thanks Class VI! It was fun watching you play!!, even if it was after midnight when it was over:D

That is great! Is the match schedule posted anywhere? Some of us VIers would come and support Team VI! :)

It's at Arapahoe and Peoria right by Centennial Airport. 9 v 9 field.

Class VI came out on the short end this time, 9-3. In their defense, this was their first time playing together and they were still figuring out who goes where!!! Regardless of the score, they were both competitive and good sports.:)

Class VI is = futsal ?

This wasn't futsal. It was regular indoor soccer, 5 plus a goalie.

Sorry for not getting to this sooner...
I’m Josh, Class VI member that threw this team together.
We ended up loosing 9-3, largely due to this being the first time EVER that any of us ever met...let alone played together.

We are "CVI" Our next match is this Sunday at 4pm.
I would definitely be up for getting an outdoor CVI team going next session if the interest was there?. Currently we’ve got 13 on the roster, so a few more able bodies and we’d be there. We will just have to see how the team progresses.
Does anyone know where GoRapids is, or when he gets back? He’s supposed to be playing with us that SLACKER!!!

I would be interested in playing on Class VI (or any men's team) team down south at the sports dome or on an outdoor team if one gets formed. I am a midfeilder myself, but I have two good buddies who would like to play as well (one is a defender, and the other is a keeper). We are all 24 with college playing experience, just a bit out of shape at the moment.
Also, does anyone know if there are any futsal leagues in this town? If so, where?

I minded the net in high school, some college and adult pick up games...IN HOCKEY.
Probably doesn't help that I am also old and about 20 pounds too heavy. :(
