Hopefully, FSC will continue to show classic matches since they lost the rights to cover Ligue 1.

I saw that they're also getting rid of Bundesliga coverage. I guess they truly are becoming an EPL-only channel. That, and their high-profile coverage of Treviso and Cagliari games from Serie A.
I guess I'm going to have to become an Arsenal fan. They're the closest thing to a French team that I can watch on TV now.

4 of these games are scoreless draws. I get the feeling FSC picked some random matches and dubbed them classics. However the Monaco win over Lyon will be fun to watch as will PSG's thrashing of Auxerre. But for the Monaco-Lyon game, that match had a waterlogged pitch and had to be replayed in April. Did FSC get that game? Who knows.

Actually the Bundesliga is currently pricing itself out of the market. The price their asking for the US rights is far in excess of what anyone wants to pay so there's a very good chance that the only outlet for that will be ProSieben Welt for the first half of the season. Supposedly there's a chance the price will be lowered considerable either right after the season starts or after their winter break and it'll end up on either Setanta or FSC.
There are stirrings that Setanta is quickly supplanting FSC as the leading player in the market. I'm inclined to agree. Once they get a contract for Dish Network I think FSC will be in huge trouble.

That's what they do with all their so-called "classic matches" regardless of the league.
FSC really puts a half-assed effort into their broadcasting schedule, especially during the summer. From 8-10 in the morning it's all infomercials, yet from 3-5 in the morning they broadcast games.

That sucks. After losing the rights to cover Ligue 1 the least they could do is show us good classic matches.Like Hexenmeister said earlier, it really does seem like FSC is turning into an EPL-only channel. It's a shame since Setanta is hard to get in the U.S. if you have Dish Network or cable. My digital sports package with Comcast cable has FSC and GOLTV.GOLTV only likes to show South American leagues (even the bad ones), La Liga, and Serie A.

Only EPL sells here in America. No other does. Personally I think FSC is being irresponsible in a sort of way by dropping out those filler leagues but can't complain about that, really. You know what they say, a man's gotta make a living.

My only question is, what are they going to show in its place? More infomercials?
You know, it's really ironic that since Fox Sports World went to the "all soccer" format as Fox Soccer Channel, they seem to be showing less of the sport than ever.

I was right about FSC not having that waterlogged pitch Monaco-Lyon reschedule. They are showing Metz-Marseille now. This is a game that is a classic as Metz actually won it, a rare feat for them the last campaign.

We're just talking about summer filler replays. TV5 will pick up again when the league picks up again.
