View Full Version : Bolton's Defence for 2006?

I was scanning through the Bolton website, and there's only 4 defenceman listed as first team players..Are those the 4 that Sam Allardyce is going with, or is there an expected transfer waiting to happen, regarding that position.
I'm interested because one of the 4 is 19 year old Jaroslaw Fojut, who is playing for Poland in this years UEFA U-19 Tournament, and is getting a lot of attention back home regarding his future.
Anything would be great, thanks.

Our defenders:
RB: Hunt and O'Brien
CB: Jaidi, Tal ben Haim, Meite, Faye
LB: Gardner
Fojut may get a chance but Sam's not one to throw new centre backs in at the deep end. Hey may have to wait a little while longer to get first team action.

If we are healthy I think to start the season we will see:
Gardner Ben Haim Meite Hunt
With O'Brien and Jaidi getting the most time as subs.

Gardner is out until October, hopefully they wont use Pedersen there again..

Shouldnt worry hopefully someone like obrien might be convinced to fill the role, the lad was outstanding last season. To be honest id prefer to see Scott Jameison called up to fill that role than pederson, it was pretty obvious to see that every time he played there teams focused on the left flank, and without a natural left footed midfielder we will struggle, although one left footer who is a possibility would be Speed.

I thought Tal Ben Haim is being sent away. I heard he is being sold by bolton to portsmouth or someone. I thought he was doing ok with u guys.
