i came across one of his posts a minute ago and i see he's been banned....

my i ask why???
I'm not postive.....but I believe some discussions down in the "international politics" forum got pretty heated. The posts might be gone now but there were some fairly inflammatory exchanges going on regarding the recent Hezbollah raid and Israeli retaliation.

wow....must have gotten really heated for a straight ban like that.
pity i liked the lad,he was a very good poster on these boards :(

I was very much taken back by what I saw.

honestly, I think it's a bit nuts that something said on a politics board would get you banned from all the boards:(

Nice to see BigSoccer has freedom of speach. Nothing he said was worthy of a banning. Especially for someone who's paid his $15.

eddie, bigsoccer is a private entity. You have no right to freedom of speech here.

I have a feeling he will be for a while. I was not involved with the decision, I don't mod that board.

eddie, bigsoccer is a private entity. You have no right to freedom of speech here.
I guess freedom of speech comes in the $100 Mike Segroves special. Weak on BigSoccer's part, very weak. There are worst posters on here than Yasik, much worse. He's a guy who is never out of line but in this case spoke his mind, an opinion that MANY people share and he gets banned. Whoever decided an all-out ban was appropriate can suck it.

Segroves was recently banned for a week. Not to mention that there is a difference between humor and being seirous. You know this.
Weak on BigSoccer's part, very weak. There are worst posters on here than Yasik, much worse. He's a guy who is never out of line but in this case spoke his mind, an opinion that MANY people share and he gets banned. Whoever decided an all-out ban was appropriate can suck it.
Its not about the poster, its about what was said. I don't know how much of it you saw, but I think even yasik will admit that he crossed the line.
Many of us (and believe me, I understand more than you know) have moments when we entertain such thoughts, but that's exactly where they should stay.
If you really want to discuss this further, feel free to PM me, this isn't a topic for the general boards. yasik is a great poster and he'll be back soon.

I think yasik is a decent fellow as well....but calling what he did just "speaking his mind" makes me question whether you saw the posts at issue.

a private entity that allows the posting of pictures of Adolf Hitler in the mancaneers forum
