Credit Suisse (Swiss Credit) is the new largest stockholder in Borussia Dortmund.

But just at five percent. Other major stockholders are German Hedge Funds manager Florian Homm (Watzke's biggest supporter) and US Investment House Morgan Stanley.

He's not far off that now. Shit, if he had better midfield support, he'd probably be near or at 20 goals now.

With the sheer lack of midfield support he gets in Dortmund, that he has 11 now is decent.

Yup, I agree with you.

I always said it but Frei always needs a year to adapt to his new team...but the key like footyfan1 said, the midfield support is very important.

What I really like about Alexander Frei is that he always gives it 100% and really hates losing. When he loses a game or misses a chance he gets extremely upset. Its 11 players like that we need at BVB!

Well, I've had too many chances to see him get upset for missing sitters too. I'm still having nightmares about the one he missed against Nuernberg (FCN).

Yes, we do need 11 players who will give their all for the team, but to be fair to him, Doll has addressed that very problem this week. See here:

Borussia Dortmund Wants To Set The Course For Maintaining Top Flight Status In Bielefeld - Official Borussia Dortmund English Webpage (http://www.borussia-dortmund.com/?%E7%86%9C%2Ah%97%84%ECSk%E1%82%9E)

To me, this is the most important quote of the article:

He studied the interviews his players gave in the last couple of days attentively. "What I read there, I want to see on the pitch on Friday: That they give everything and are not afraid to get dirty. It is about time they show that. It should be normal that everyone rolls up their sleeves and fights anyhow."

And this was a difference between us and FCN that I noted on our e-mail list after that match. You could see that our guys were "trying" to work hard. FCN looked very comfortable out there although they were working hard. You could tell that FCN's players were used to working hard and ours were not.

We need them to get used to working hard and do it rather quickly. In my opinion, we've shown in the games that we work hard, (Both Bayern matches, the win in Bremen and both draws with FCN are the best examples to me) showed me that when we work hard, we can play with anyone and in some cases get results people just don't expect.

I just hope Doll can get these guys used to working hard the rest of the way.....

I guess we'll see in about two and a half hours..... :o

In my opinion, besides the players just not giving a good enough effort for most of the season, I feel the turmoil at BVB is mainly being caused by a Managing Director (a businessman at that, not a football man) who won't keep his freakin' hands out of football operations.

He messed with former coach Bert van Marwijk enough to undermine van Marwijk's authority with the team and even got the fans to turn on van Marwijk by off-handedly blaming van Marwijk for the problems at the club.

This is even though anyone who would take a moment to think clearly for themselves would have seen that the problems were more than likely brought on by the fact that Watzke and his idiot Director of Sport Michael Zorc put too much pressure on the team by demanding they finish in the top five and the fact that the two idiots didn't build a team good enough to finish in the top five. They built what should have been a "good enough" starting eleven, but left the bench full of nothing but TEENAGERS!!

To me, that's a CLEAR SIGN management doesn't know what the hell they are doing.......

But, here's the thing that bothers me the most about management.

After firing van Marwijk, hiring Juergen Roeber AS A CARETAKER COACH while they waited to get the man Watzke coveted, Bielefeld's former coach Thomas von Heesen (Which is another horrible story for BVB thanks to the lying scumbag Watzke) and then the team, after beating Bayern in Roeber's first match, then promptly going on to lose SIX of the next SEVEN matches, this lying scumbag Watzke goes on German TV and STILL OFFHANDEDLY BLAMES van Marwijk for what is wrong!!

The good thing is that now, the players have a new coach (Former HSV coach Thomas Doll) who is able to relate to them, having been a "recent" leading player at HSV and he has authority because BVB management gave him a contract into next season.

However, the big question remains, "Did they make this move too late??"

Tonight will go a long way to giving us that answer.

Does anyone have info about the 2 reserve players moved up when Ricken and Kringe were suspended.

Were they just there for numbers or could they actually get into some games?

Honestly, at this point I would like to see what some of the better amateurs can do. It can not get much worse than what we have seen so far.

They were just there for numbers. Gordon will go with the team to Aachen, but most likely won't play.......

And you won't. Fortunatly, we have taken care of business already. WE ARE STAYING!!! The best part of it is that now we can focus on making one thing happen - be the ones to spoil your party...the best we can do to make up for a poor season. So - if it happens, it happens. And I'll be happy in the end. If it doesn't; congratulations!! You've earned the title.

Guys, six weeks ago, who would have thought that right now, we'd be celebrating a victory over Scheisse, four consecutive victories, five out of six and we'd be sitting in a UI Cup spot going into the final Saturday?

I know I sure as hell didn't. I felt we would not be relegated, but I never saw THIS coming!! :D

Hey,

Saw Hertha II-BvB II today, and you guys whipped us. Saka is a pretty impressive player in this level, and Vrzgovic is pretty decent too.

I will have pictures when I get back to Kobenhavn.

I expect Saka to be on someone's Bundesliga roster in another year or two. Vrzogic is the club's designated successor to Dede. The kid is 17 and missed most of the season after tearing his ACL at school last year.
