I'LL TELL YOU WHY -
BECAUSE THEY ARE TWO CANDY A$$ LOSERS THAT"S WHY!
Platini is one of the biggest diks I have ever known. He has been putting Italy down for years.
Blatter is another primitive Homo-Erectus. He should be hung by his balls.
I'd love to kick his A$$. What a skumfuk. No class. Neither one.
Just come here, you bum, you coward!

According to a newspaper report, Blatter didn't attend the final because he feared the spactators would whistle and boo at him - which they would have.
Platini's father was an Italian immigrant to southern France, I somewhat doubt that he would put Italy down, considering his Italian roots.

Terrible excuse. By the way, who was the guy who appeared to take the trophy away the Italians (didn't seem to like the Italians kissing the trophy and putting the hat on it)?

He is corrupt, he gave bribes to ensure his election and there is currently a criminal investagion in switzerland into the bankrupcy of the company who held the tv rights for this WC and other tournaments.
Apperently they bribed some high-ranking FIFA officials to get the rights.
And then most officials have a very bad standing with the general supporter.

I think the guy meant to hand it to Cannavaro.

That's what I tried explaing in the thread I started, but some of the anti-Italians began to neg rep me because they are narrow minded and don't like the view points of others, especially of fans of any team that played England or Germany.
France obviously rigged their way through this. This team barely made the freakin' World Cup. They claimed that this team was old. Okay, so they won in 1998, lost terrribly in 2002, but with the same core as those two Worlc Cups, they make the final just 4 years later? Come on..doesn't make sense. Platini, a French men, is Blatter's assistant, who is also part French. I have a good feeling Mr. Blatter and Mr. Platini were some where trying to bribe France a win, but the Italians said hell no. So happy to know Italy had a spine, unlike Brazil.

I love the media. Here's how they made this one "titillating"...
The headline says: Blatter: Italy WC win "a tragedy"
But when you actually read the article, Blatter goes on to say that deciding the World Cup on a penalty shootout was a tragedy, not the fact that Italy won it.
His exact words...
"When it comes to the World Cup final it is passion, and when it goes to extra time it is a drama,” said Blatter. But when it comes to penalty kicks it is a tragedy. Football is a team sport and penalties is not a team, it is the individual."
In other words, the only part that was tragic was the shootout, not the winner. Nevertheless, people will read the title of the article and run with it. The "tragically" pathetic reporting is the story there if you ask me.:(
And for the record, deciding a World Cup on penalty kicks is stupid!!!

exactly, jerrito.
Guys, please. Blatter doesn't love Italy off but read the exact quotes. The headline is written to get your attention but in the heart of the article, it's plain what he says.
Which is: winning on PK's is a tragedy, not a certain team.

come on. I've been bashing France for 2 months now but those accusations and comments are false.
Typical WC run that many teams prior to this France team have done in previous WC's -- qualify without playing exceptional, start off with a couple of shakey performances, but then pick up steam throughout the tournament.
Believe me, while I definitely think they've acted like whiney beeatches at some times, I will not accuse them of the above.

Ditto. Conspiracy theories are fun, but this one doesn't have much merit in my eyes.;)

Lennart Johannsen
without wanting to get into specifics, he bungled the trophy presentation. Very poorly done. Man, he's getting old.

Who actually cares if Blatter did not show up to present the World Cup? I don't think any of the players themselves actually cared, nor did any of the Italian fans while celebrating.
Hell, I STILL do not care. In 2010, the Italian squad will have a jersey with four stars. Blatter can do whatever he wants, and say whatever, but he can't change the fact that Italy has four World Cups under their belts.
