Now that the tournament is over, which website did you use most to get your information about the World Cup? Which one had the best analysis, blogs, coverage, creativity, etc.

If it's not on the list, check 'other' and let us know which one it is - maybe it's better than the one we spend our time at usually!

Oh: After bigsoccer, I used the guardian.co.uk for match commentaries, sometimes even checking them after I'd seen the game. In fact, the poorer the match (or the funnier Graham Poll's performance) the better the commentary. I still remember lines from Switzerland?Ukraine like, "this is like watching England play England" and "the 30 minutes of extra time should be better than the first or second half, if only because it won't take as long.

There was also a pretty funny line about the referees explaining the concept of shooting to both teams before the PKs that was pretty good.

I used Yahoo's World Soccer page for news and BS for fan discussion. Between work and the live games on TV, I hardly had enough Internet time. ;)

The media blitz via Internet was amazing for this tournament and I understand that the numbers of visitors for each of the websites was pretty astronomical. And they say we're not a soccer nation ...

the fifa official site had match highlights and since i missed a few games i used that one. and usually its commentary isn't biased like in espn or fox soccer where they would be pro USA

All in all, I'd say the coverage top to bottom was amazing ... there's nothing you can miss nowadays with the TV and Internet coverage of this event. It's amazing.

My first 'experienced' World Cup was USA'94, but I was living in Germany at the time. No net, just TV and fanatical Europeans. But today? Whew! Can't miss a thing!

Other: CNNSI - where the US' best soccer writer, Grant Wahl, resides - not to mention Gabriel Marcotti and Jonah Freedman, who spend more time writing about the world game.

FIFA World Cup.com was way helpful for me since I'm a complete newbie to soccer. The World Cup made me a true fan and now I think i'm gonna play on my high school JV team this fall.
