Yesterday my boss recieved a free voucher for a box of Omaha steaks. He gave it to me. I've placed my order. I'm already anticipating busting out the old Webber in the cold.
For $20 a pound I'm guessing they are awsome and they put the Angus from the supermarket to shame.
I can't wait!

I've had a good steak at Gibsons from time to time, here in Chicago.

Which cuts did you get?

Prego Cheryl gave me a big ass box of these last year when I watched her house and dog for her. Since then I've ordered several other items from them. melbrown's hooked me up with some stuff from them.

You want a good, low fat steak? Try ostrich.

I was in Buenos Aires a couple of years back. The Argentinian beef is just incredible. Truly amazed. And I'm the biggest carnivore this side of TRex. :D

Churrascaria Porcão.

No steakhouse compares to a real Churrascaria.

Oh yeah. It is. Did you go to one of those gaucho restaraunts?

I've been to a couple here in the states.

The waiters walk around with half a grilled cow scewered on a sword. Unreal!

M9Fanatic I think your getting at a place called Rodizio's. It's Brazillian and yes the beef is very good.

However, the best steak I have ever eaten was in Lincoln, Nebraska. I can't recall the restuarant's name. But it's at the corner of O Street and 13th I believe. Maybe those in Lincoln can help me out?

Argentina is on the vacation list so I am looking forward to it even more.

My dad makes the best damn steak you ever had.

Can't give away the secret recipe, but if anyone's ever in Philly and wants to stop by for a bite, let me know.

In the Dallas area there's a place called Traildust that serves an awesome 24 oz porter house. It's grilled over mesquite and is fantastic.

Um no I've never been to Rodizo's.
The place I went to was in Houston. And one in SF. I forgot the names though. I've also been to a gaucho style joint in Mexico city. I wish there were such a place here in Chicago.
There is a Columbian place Las Tablas. Oooo their chimichuria is awsome!

What contiues to be the best steaks ever are made by my friend's mom.

Her dad's a cattle rancher/farmer and they get 2-3 cows a year butchered that they've raised.

They normally raise hereford-angus, but they always end up trading (or breeding) for pure Angus just for their dinner plates.

Unreal meat. I mean, these things are raised like a show cow from day 1.

Best steaks (and beef) I've ever had or probably ever will.

The best steak I ever had, which also doubles to the best meal I ever had, was when I was in Spain with my parents. I think we were in Toledo and we had lunch at this restaurant. It was a dish, something like steak wrapped in bacon, and with some kinda melted cheese sauce. If I could've ordered a second one I would've, but the tour bus was leaving. It was quite possibly the finest meal I ever had.

Of course my favorite steak house, Peter Luger's.
