Sorry if this has been brought up. I know you wouldnt want to trade a top player to a division rival also.

But....

Is there anyone on the KC roster that you would make a straight up trade for Nick Rimando not named Johnson or Wolff or Conrad? An allocation perhaps?

I'd take Davy Arnaud straight up for Rimando.

Me too. There are several decent Kansas players. (BTW why does the post starter put the word "city" after Kansas?) I'd say Matt Groenwald has a nice upside. Scott Sealy would be an upgrade to the departed Filomeno. Jack Jewsbury would be a useful winger if Freddy does leave next year, better then Mediate or McTavish unless they get much better. An allocation would be good if Nowak and Co. have an idea on how to use it.

I'd think we'd have a better chance of prying someone away from Cowlumbus, since I am sure they'd be overjoyed to have a keeper like Rimando right now. I wouldn't mind picking up Jacob Thomas or Knox Cameron from them.

As for who I'd like from KC... Will John, Yura Movsisyan, Lance Watson or Jack Jewsbury wouldn't be bad pick-ups.

I have a different DC v KC question I've been wondering about since we've played 4 games against them as conference rivals. Why did we play them in the 2004 MLS Cup? Did they switch from the Western conference to the Eastern in 2005 or something?

Yes.

Yes....when two teams located in the west, Chivas USA and Real Salt Lake, entered the league.

We've also played Chicago in an MLS Cup and now are in the same division.

Luckily (?) Houston is just west of Kansas so they didn't have to re-allign anything this year. Guess it depends on who gets added after Toronto (East of both Chicago and Kansas) as to who gets moved where next.
