i am landing in London as the Arsenal/Bolton vs Blackburn match kicks off, but i will be able to make it to Fulham vs Sp*rs. What are the chances of me getting a ticket to a game like that. Im pissed i won't get to see an Arsenal game, but i'll still get to cheer against the scum :D

First time poster - so glad I found this messageboard.
My wife and I are coming to England the last week of April. I PM'ed Rick 3 days ago about getting tickets to the Fulham game. I'm still waiting for him to get back to me. I followed the procedures outlined in the ticket request process and am hoping we will get to see the Gunners during our stay.
Edit: Ignore my question about when I can expect a response from Rick. I trust that he's busy and will reply when he has time.
This thread has been very useful - lots of good tips for first-time visitors.

I need to get a US to British plug adapter. Does this (http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000JCNH2C/102-3295095-4742564?SubscriptionId=1NP56Y8QKPN1AZERGY02)look right? The one I bought last time didn't have the right kind of prongs.
Cheers.

Looks right, just remember that convert just the plug, not the electricity so make sure what ever you plug into that will do that.

First-time poster, so I hope I don't break any rules
Question about tickets. Huge Arsenal fan, who has through friends actually gotten luck enough to see the Sp*rs Carling replay at Emirates ("You're were up two-nil and you..... it up still"), and was lucky enough to snap up some Brazil v. Portugal tickets when they came to GS. Emirates is great and it was amazing atmosphere. As an American over here for a few months, I was/am a football novice so its been a blast following the club (God I hate Chelsea though). My little brother is coming into town tommorow from Baltimore, MD who is a huge Arsenal Fan as well, and I am trying to get two tickets to the West Ham game, April 7. Will be joining Arsenal America as soon as I figure it out. But, knowing the game is a few days away, any suggestions on getting tickets. Would be willing to pay quite a bit, but hearing the advice, I'm not sure about going through a ticket broker. I tried to scalp outside the stadium for the ManU game at Emirates and had no luck. It might have been because I was trying to scalp like an American, ("I need one!" while holding up a finger) but I got no offers in 3 hours before the game. And my ticket connection has moved back to the states. My brother is coming over specifically to see the EPL, so I am looking for any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance guys.

Hello, This is my first time posting on big soccer. I have a question about the Arsenal American ticketing program. I am an American and I will be moving to England in May and I will be there for six months. Can I still get tickets through Arsenal America even though I will be living in England? Also, how do I become a premium member of Arsenal America?
Thanks

Go to ArsenalAmerica.com and sign up its 20 bucks and you pay through paypal. You'll be able to get tickets although your living in England, actually i'm sure it will be alot easier.

I signed up for ArsenalAmerica.com but I can't figure out how to become a premium member. Does anybody have a link that will help me become a premium member.

I didn't see a link, they have email addresses for President Mike K (HighburyGoon on BigSoccer) and membership chair Matt (Bighorn) on Arsenalamerica.com. Send those guys an email or pm them using their Bigsoccer screen names for more info.

I hope this is the right thread for this question:
I am considering staying at Krystal's Guest House (http://www.a1tourism.com/uk/krystals.html), 754 Holloway Road, N19 3JF for my trip in November. It is near Archway tube station (zone 2) and I am reasonably familiar with the general area of North London. I've read on a travel board that the area around Archway and along Holloway Road might be a bit dodgy. My question is how dodgy? I will be traveling alone, and out at night at least a few nights. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this establishment or the general area? It looks similar to the Europa (where I stayed last time), but much cheaper (about $150 cheaper for the week).
In 06 I stayed near Tufnell Park, which is one stop south on the Northern line, so I don't mind staying a little outside the city, in fact i prefer it, but I don't want to be worried about being accosted or hassled or robbed coming home late at night. I blend in pretty well I think and keep to myself, but, again, I will be by myself on occasion and would like to avoid any unpleasantness.
Can anyone give me some additional insight on this area?

I lived in Archway when I was younger, I moved when I was six but I still go and see friends there. Most of the time I leave in the early hours. It's not the best area of London, but it's not the worst. If you're close to the station you should be OK, but in general I haven't had problems there - then again I'm accustomed to it. It can be quite intimidating to someone new to the area, but like you said if keep yourself to yourself you'll be fine. I've found it's very much an area where you will get trouble if you go looking for it, but if you don't look for it you'll be fine.

Being a young college student, i'm poor as ********. That being said, i'll probably stay in a hostel if I do visit London to see the Arsenal(the plan is sometime next calendar year).
I'll probably just bring a big backpack(the large kind). Is it a hassle to carry those things around? Do most hostels have storage areas to hold things like backpacks for the day?
Budget-wise, what is the minimum amount of money per day i'll be spending(this includes transportation, with the exclusion of airfare)? Can I spend a week in and around London? Is there a lot to do in the surrounding areas?

Did you read any of the thread?!?! I know you're in college and are lazy as hell, but come on, this thread is as easy as plagiarizing a paper or using Wikipedia. Yes, its a hassle to carry a backpack all day, that's why most people have a separate day-pack they'll use, about the size of a normal backpack or slightly smaller. Yes, hostels have cages, lockers, or you bring your own lock & chain and secure it yourself. For the rest of the questions, look around this thread or the internet, or shit, read a travel book on London (Let's Go is written by college kids).

Dear Sky,
considering you have so much money and a pretty huge monopoly on the EPL, I think it'd be fair if you just released the amended fixture list already.
Thanks

It should probably be out by the end of this week; I read somewhere that there's more haggling than usual because Setanta is coming into the mix this year (in the UK).

I agree. Don't they know I need to make PLANS? Geez.....
I'm over sometime b/w Oct. 29 and November 9. Some of that depends on when the ManU match (and the liverpool match the weekend before) is set.
Does anyone know whether Sky/Setanta would move the November 3rd match to Sunday knowing that Man U and Arsenal (likely) will be competing in the CL the following week? Who has priority there?
