i was wondering if you guys could put some more input about December weather in London.
Predicting the weather here is folly, but expect it to be cold in the region of of 3-7 degrees and likely raining more often than not. Snow is unlikely, and when it does it doesnt settle.

Ok, so I'm planning a trip over there Mar 29 - April 8. I'll probably be flying out of Dallas or Houston...
I'll probably be ordering my tix in early Jan and all that. I've been doing some research on pricing and keeping up with this and other threads (thanks for all the opinions/links/contributions/offers).
I'm a 32 yo single father...divorced early this year...and I want to ENJOY my stay there by partying and all that...
1. What are the best singles type pubs/clubs/etc...
2. Are there parks/places where people play pickup games?
3. So Reyes says that London closes down at 5pm...what does he mean? I want to party all night and sleep for 2 hours in the morning...enjoy the sights until sundown/kickoff and then party all over again (there's plenty of time to sleep while I'm at work back home in Texas, trust me)...
is the club scene like only 20-ish aged people there?

I'll let others answer the partying side s I never take people out past 11pm...... :D but you need to get your ticket application in earlier than that. Many of the games have already sold out so get it in asap.

btw, by "pickup games" I don't mean picking up women...i mean playing ball...
where's the best place to get in a game or 10 during the week?
should i just float on over to the training grounds, yell over to Mr. Wenger and ask for a week long tryout? :P

Perhaps he's gone off Barry - seems like Electric Six might be more his cup of tea these days. ;)

1. What are the best singles type pubs/clubs/etc...
Most bars and clubs you go in in London do have a good proportion of singles. For me personally Islington was quite good to go to (haven't been for ages). If you expand your horizons you can look at places like Bromley where I currently go on a quiet night - they have a couple of clubs that are Over 25's and are easy to score in...I mean open until 3am. :D
2. Are there parks/places where people play pickup games?
Last time I met up with the Arsenal America guys we went to Hyde Park and there were literally about 20-25 games going on. We struck up a match easily and one guy came and joined in with ours, so it's not a problem, I would recommend there. Go in the evening, or anytime over the weekend.
3. So Reyes says that London closes down at 5pm...what does he mean? I want to party all night and sleep for 2 hours in the morning...enjoy the sights until sundown/kickoff and then party all over again (there's plenty of time to sleep while I'm at work back home in Texas, trust me)...
Reyes is talking poo. He probably doesn't know what alcohol is.

Depends where you go. If you go to nightclubs in Enfield (feck me, what's that one called on the business park near the cinema?) you'll probably be dancing the night away with 15 and 16 year old ladeeeeeez all night. But seek and ye shall find...just gotta do your research first.
EDIT: EROS!! That's it! Yeah, don't go there. My ex is normally in there. And before you say, no she's not one of the 15 and 16 year olds I was referring to lol

Newbie here! Planning a last minute trip to London very soon and wanted to PM Rick about getting tickets.
Wondering if anyone can tell me roughly how long it usually takes to get a confirmation from him?
