Is there a reason I'm not able to purchase a Red Membership? Considering the number of games that have been available to Red members and the fact that I don't always have enough notice on my time off to put in reasonable requests to aa tickets, I decided to take a look, but it doesn't offer it under "available for purchase." I thought it might have something to do with my listed address, but even after changing it my UK addy, no luck. Am I too young at 22 or something?

Alright, i need some advice.

Me and My Mom are going to be in Rome from the 16th-23rd of Febuary, and as we all know the 20th is a monster game for us vs. AC Milan.

I can get tickets from Rome to London in the morning of the 20th and get to London by 11am, and then leave the next day at around 8am. I think the roundtrip tickets are $234.

Is it work the hassle of flying all over the place, and is the time crunch too much, I'm trying to convince my mom, but i just want to know if its worth it, i obviously think it is :D .

Im thinking 234 for the flight, 120 for ticket, 150 for food, travel to from airport, metro, and saving money on hotel by simply going straight to the airport from the match and getting a little shut eye at heathrow. Im 17, so don't have much money to waste.

If you can get a ticket to the match, go for it. Getting to the stadium from Heathrow isn't too much hassle really. Getting back to Heathrow might be more of an adventure if you stay out late. But you'll have plenty of time to see a little bit of London and go to the game. I wouldn't count on getting any sleep at Heathrow though.

. I wouldn't count on getting any sleep at Heathrow though.

This is true. I had a 15 hour layover there once, and there isn't much place to sit and relax. This is partly due to the fact that you can't check in more than a couple hours before boarding, so you are stuck before the security gates, where seating is extremely limited. My brother got some shut-eye, but I wasn't able to (he can sleep anywhere, at any time)

I'll be buzzing from the game so much that i doubt i'll even want to sleep, thanks for the advice. Know i just have to convince my mom.

What are the chances our possible 5th round game is on Saturday the 15th at 3 PM? From the looks of the 4th round fixtures, its just the TV games that are early or late on Saturday or on Sunday...does this generally hold true for every round?

(trying to coordinate travel with seeing as many Arsenal games as possible....was thinking train to Brussels, which gives me about as much freedom as possible, but their tickets are completely non-refundable; and from what I've seen, prices go way up as you get near a date of travel. Also, clearly being as optimistic as possible re the 4th round! :o )

Yep the slots for TV for the FA Cup are:

Saturday 12.45pm
Saturday 5.15pm
Sunday 1pm
Sunday 4pm

Whether we get any of those slots depends on the draw. If we get a shit team we won't be on TV, if we are at home to Man Yoo or something it will be.

There is a spare ticket going for the Fulham game tomorrow. If anyone is interested then please P.M. me. Usual terms and conditions apply.

re Birmingham away, Feb 23....I haven't requested tickets yet, and really can't until I know if the Carling Cup will conflict (I can't make another date there most likely)...should I wait until after Tues to request?

Within 10 weeks of the request deadline now so we can't get tickets via the club.

I seem to keep this thread going all by myself....:o

So, when's the last time anyone got a ticket off the waiting list? I'm rocking at #1 for both Chelski and ManU away :D, but I have a feeling that my chances of geting those tickets are quite slim to none.

On a related note, is the Tavern a good place to the watch televised away matches? Some place else? Especially if I am in the country during the Man U game, I can't imagine watching without any atmosphere or singing.

I dont know personally, but Aaron mentioned to me that the Tavern is a decent place to watch the games: it has big screen TVs. So, the atmosphere I would imagine is as good as itll get in any pub watching the Arsenal.

Dont know about the wait list deal. I read somewhere on here its a slim chance for the Prem games since they already know their ticket allocation, but for cup games i think there may be more chance since allocations are done closer to the game. But I could be completely wrong on all this! ;)

P.S. You got me thinking a little more on this!
I remember seeing a pic of the Tavern with an Arse Am. flag on the wall. Is it always there or only hung up during games? Does it mean that area is sort of Arse Am. gathering spot in the UK? Just curious. Cheers. :)

It's definitely where ArseAm members meet prior to kickoff, but the banner moves around a lot. Right now it's in DC for the Danny Karbassiyoon dinner, and it'll be making appearances throughout the US over the next several weeks.

If Rick is around, your chances are pretty good. He is usually able to get an extra ticket at the last second.

Any luck getting a ticket to Chelsea-Liverpool?

Any luck getting a ticket to Chelsea-Liverpool?

No, never heard anything about it again (you been looking at my threads ?)

I want to at least catch one game at Stamford Br., and at Man U. And definately at Anfield before they move to their new staduim. It wont be on my next trip in Feb. Ive got Arse v Blackburn lined up in couple of weeks and am keeping all fingers crossed for AC Milan--that would be a dream ticket :D

Of course, Ill catch Brighton in between and spend 30 quid to watch a league 1 team play in a dingy sports center. What a rip off!

This is all a lot to take in, but I'm interested in going to a game, preferably a home Champions League match.

I don't know if I'd stay in town long, just a day or two before or after the game. My trip would be really just be for the game, maybe a day of sight-seeing. Is arriving the morning of the game alright, or is it better to plan on arriving the day before?

Trying to imagine the schedule I'd have to keep...what kind of travel is involved? A half-hour for taking the train from the airport is mentioned. After that, what? How long can necessary travel like the tube lines get, i.e. getting from one of the neighborhoods mentioned to the stadium? A matter of minutes? An hour?

If someone who has done it could sum up what their itinerary was, that'd be cool. :)

Do members ever meet up and do their traveling together?
