I got a thing in the mail which mentioned the place, I've never heard of it - it looks very new. I'm wondering if anyone else has been there and what their thoughts/experience was? (I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trek to get there.)
after some googling, I found their site:

When I was in DC, I went there a few times to watch the Cup. It's a really cool spot. The owner is a passionate soccer fan from Uruguay, I believe.
It's small (with a capacity of between 20 and 30) and informal. For example, during the Mexico-Argentina match a patron decided to play some music in the time between regulation and the first overtime. So, this patron just went over to the stereo and popped on some MC Hammer. When the game started up again, another patron just went up and put the stereo off, and then the owner put the TV sound back on.
I'll end this ramble with this: as you walk down the stairs to enter the establishment, there is a soccerball hung on the ceiling. You are encouraged to head the ball before you get through the doors.
In sum, very cool spot.
Funny. I live very close to it, and from the outside it looks like a football-themed hair salon. :p
I'll stick with Lucky Bar, they treat me right and have Guinness on tap.

I'm staying away until they get their liquor license.

Actually, I think it used to be the Golden Scissors (hair salon), which always made me conjure images I didn't want to conjure.
Along the same lines, just down the road is a place with a sign that has new-age fontery that's hard to read, and for the first two months it was open, I thought it said "Trim--A Saloon." Finally realized it's "Trim--A Salon." Subtle difference.
Back to the 90 Minute Cafe.

Maybe Etch can go there to get his mullet chopped off once and for all.

I live down the street from there and reccomend the place-the food is really good. The only problem I can see with the place is who is going to come to watch soccer there outside the world cup. There is no MLS there at all-it was not even open during the last DC game. The Latino demogrpahics of the neighborhood salvadoran and I am not sure what satellite options are out there for the salvadoran league.
I like the place and would love to have a soccer cafe in my neighborhood but I watch more soccer than is good for me and with FSC and GolTV there is enough for me.

hmm - no beer, huh? don't think I'll be making the trek then - if I'm in the area maybe I'll stop by for some lunch, but otherwise I'll stick with the pour house and other wonderful places in SE. thanks.
