According to the frequenters of the Satellite & TV forum, the new Bundesliga TV rights holders are playing hardball with broadcasters, demanding a significant increase in their fees. Which means both FSC and Setanta are dropping the Bundesliga until the new rights holders lower their demands.

Last year watching almost every single Bayern match on my TV rather than a streaming video was like Heaven. I should've known it would be fleeting. :(

yah it makes me sick...How most my Freiburg friends go to the dreisamstadion every home match, watch the team every week in training and such.

Being able to watch SCF 5 times a year on TV! sounds like a dream...i've never watched one match before...But going to the stadion every second week is just....beautiful :D

According to FSC back in the Spring, they have moved the German games to 5pm EDT on tape delay. This is due to the new Premiership TV contract.

Yeah, and for those who don't understand Mandarin, like me, what I used to do when I watched BVB matches on CCTV-5 was turn down the sound on my PPLive Player and link to BVB NetRadio.

Also, I think watching a match without commentary helps some learn more about the game. You have to figure out what happened for yourself instead of being fed another person's perspective on it.

I see when I return to the USA in five years, I guess my only choice will be Setanta or Pro7Sat1. Or is that the other way around??

Unless they change the rules, that's all I've got here. But I'll take it. I was praying to get back here at this time last year. Now, I've got a World Cup under my belt and a full Bundesliga season coming.

I'm going to enjoy it while I'm here....... :)
