Feel free to delete if you don't think it's appropriate but I was wondering if anyone knew when the release date of the new shirt is? The official website doesn't say and I can't read German to figure out the online shop.

They are actually taking orders for the new shirt on the website now. However, I think that only helps if you are here in Germany or know someone in Germany who will forward it to you. I haven't seen a photo of it yet, but all indications point to it being the black and white striped one shown in one of the threads here.
As far as I know, that's the only place to order one right now.

I saw it listed in the latest Eurosport catalog, but its not on their website (soccer.com).
The BVB shop has it up now. Unfortunately for me the shop is all in German... :(

Lucky for me one of the guys here at work speaks German, he translated and ordered it for me. I got it with the Bundesliga patches and without the sponsor logo, throw in a t-shirt and all told the price came to around $100. Thank God the dollar is stronger against the Euro than it is against the GBP.

Cool, I definitely think I'll order one without the sponsor, I'm just a little worried about making a mistake with my lack of German knowledge. Might have a friend who speaks German walk me through it.

It's actually pretty easy to do once you know where the buttons like "Add to Cart" and "Checkout" are. You could also use a free translation service on the web to try and figure some words/sentences out. I've used www.freetranslation.com (http://www.freetranslation.com) before and it's not bad...and it's free.

Seems straightforward.
Are you guys getting the BVB kits in at tob.com this season?

It's still up in the air. We usually get most Nike kits but you never know. I didn't want to take the chance so I bought from the club.

Has anyone seen the long sleeve, sponsor-less jersey available anywhere other than the club's online shop yet? I've found the short sleeve shirt available several places, and though I'd prefer to buy directly from the club the BVB website doesn't ship to Australia. Any help would be appreciated.

Again, you're blaming the wrong people!
THE CLUB gave the approval for this shirt!
BLAME THEM, NOT NIKE!!!!
NIKE DOESN'T DO A F#CKING THING WITHOUT CLUB APPROVAL!

They could have gone back to the blue and white with the red stripe! Hertha fans are P.O.'ed as well.

These sites are always funny. :D
My standard test:
correct:
English: "How do you do?"
German: "Wie geht es dir?"
and freetranslation does:
English input: "How do you do?"
German : "Wie machen Sie? "
and German to English:
German input: "Wie geht es dir?"
English: "How does it go you?"
:D

Be pissed off. No one cares. But you are blaming the wrong people. The clubs are responsible for this.
BTW, I was up in Dortmund this past weekend. Outside of the fanatics in the Südtribune, that new shirt seems to be selling quite well.
And it is actually not bad-looking.
Without that hideous sponorship symbol that is. And it wouldn't be so bad without the green background.

That's what I do when I have big translations to get done....... ;)

Has anyone used 'BigSoccer Shop' to buy this season's jersey yet? If so, can anyone tell me whether or not the back of the shirt has that large yellow panel for the players name and number on it. Most pictures I've seen have it, but the photos used on the 'BigSoccer Shop' site shows the same yellow/white stripes on both the back and front. Is this correct?

They all come with the all yellow back.
I just got mine in the mail today from the BVB shop. It's got ODONKOR 11 on the back and it's freaking sweet. REALLY NICE!

Haha it's a good thing I didn't order a shirt with Odonkor on it!
Anyway, whom do you guys think i should have on the back of my Dortmund jersey? i want a player who won't be going anywhere fast and who should show consistency so that my shirt will have a good name on it.
Tinga maybe? Sahin? Metzeleder (dont think so, might leave)? Pienaar? Valdez? frei?
I'd be grateful for some suggestions.
