Not so happy 4th here.
Last night and now again this afternoon an IDIOT neighbor of mine is blowing off massive aerial fireworks from his backyard. I'm not talking little fireworks that are pretty much harmless (in safe hands) but MASSIVE AERIAL explosives like the kind you see at firework displays. They are exploding right over my freakin house.
This makes me very unhappy and worried that the butthead is going to hit one of the numerous utility lines that run up and down our backyards.
What the hell? I've never seen anything like this and I'm not usually one to call the cops but this time I had to and I hope the other neighbors are calling as well.
Last night my neighborhood was a light show. It was ridiculous. When the pd helicopter came around I was afraid that it would get hit.

One thing that was very sweet however was a couple in our neighborhood went and got probably hundreds of flags about 12x16 inches in size and stuck one in every yard in the neighborhood. This is a huge neighborhood in Campbell.
They attached a poem to each pole and stuck the flag in the ground. Now, I don't normally display a flag because quite frankly I'm not that proud to be an American right now. The only time in my life I did was in the weeks following 9/11/01.
But this was a very nice thing to do by a couple who are obviously very proud. I left it. A few houses I noticed took the flag away.
I dunno, I just thought it was sweet. I respect thier gesture.

That's pretty unusual, considering that fireworks have been banned practically all around the Bay Area.

Well...that was the quick detour that COPter took in between his regular route of buzzing my Burbank 'hood next to Campbell b/c we are the capital of local illegal fireworks, but also - it's just what the ghettobirds like to do:rolleyes: .
