I was reading on esto.com.mx last week, and it said that Mexico is set to play the US onMay 8th in Houston. It didnt specify the location,but probably Houston University or Reliant Stadium (home of the Texans)

Hate to break it to yah, but we have been knowing about Mexicos upcomming friendlys since last year, including the game against the U.S..

Game May 8 at Reliant Stadium, home of the Houston Texans and 3 home stadium away from DF of the Mexican National Team :D
Well... I have read about this for quite some time but it is official now. The local Univision Telemundo networks, Spanish Newspapers, and local spnaish radio shows have talked about it.
I finally heard it today on Channel 13 (ABC affiliate). Don Garber was in houston and gave a press confederace stating the game between Mexico and the US is official.
They went on to say that they want to use this game as a springboard to expand the MLS into Houston. Garber said Houston is a great sport city and has a booming hispanic community.
Makes me wonder....
its like he didnt even call out to the yank fans...

Actually, I think there was a decent chance of him going to Germany had he not injured himself.

Los defensas Carlos Morales del Morelia, y Héctor Altamirano del Santos, regresaron a la convocatoria de Ricardo La Volpe, técnico de la Selección Mexicana de futbol, que enfrentará a su similar de Estados Unidos el próximo 8 de mayo en Houston, Texas.
Entre los jugadores que convocó el estratega argentino también fueron incluidos los medio volantes Pavel Pardo del América y Ramón Morales del Guadalajara, aunque éstos podrían realizar únicamente el viaje con el Tricolor, ya que salieron lastimados en el partido contra Brasil.
Pardo y Morales tendrán que pasar de manera satisfactoria la evaluación médica, a la que se someterán durante la concentración del equipo mexicano este lunes en el Centro de Alto Rendimiento, para ser considerados en la alineación que enfrentaría a la selección de las barras y las estrellas.
La Volpe nominó a 22 jugadores, entre los cuales destacan el regreso de los zagueros Carlos Morales y Héctor Altamirano, asimismo figura Fernando Arce, volante del Veracruz. El equipo tricolor viajará a Texas el próximo martes.
