They won on Penalites to capture the 2006 championship.
Colo Colo is having 2 players departing from the team.
Keeper Bravos is going to play for Espanol in spain.
El Majo is going to Palmeiras in Brazil.

El Mago said he probably will go to Palmeiras, but today there is an information on www.terra.cl/deportes about he's thinking to stay in blancoynegro S.A.
Mancilla is in Veracruz.
Probably will go out: Borghi (Skoda Xanthi of Greece), Fernández (Atlético de Madrid), Suazo (México or Sporting Lisboa Portugal), Meléndez (Quilmes), C.Ayala, A.González, etc.

Fernandez estaria listo en el Villareal pero este lo dejaria en Colo*Colo por 6 meses mas para que se foguee un poco mas en la Sudamericana.

so if colo colo have won the 2006 that obviously means the league is finished? When does the league start. Am i right in thinking it doesnt overlap the year like most european leagues..

Colocolo was the "Apertura" Champion (championship played between january and july).
The "Clausura" Championship started last weekend (July 15th), and ends in december.;)

With Bravo going to Spain, I hope he does well there as the seleccion needs a keeper that is solid for 2010.
I do not think Colo Colo could gain that tread back to winning all the time as it looked it was going to be Cobreloa for a bit but lately it was up to any team for that matter...but there were only 2 teams that have won 3 years in the row before the Apertura and Clausura was introduced and since La Liga Chilena started:
Colo Colo 1989, 90, 91 y Magallanes 1933, 34, 35.
One more note: after the Apertura and Clausura was introduced only one team cleaned up the year:
