Does anyone know if this has been released and if so where I can find it? If not, does anyone know when it will be relesed? Previous years have started the first week of August, which is only 5 weeks away. I am planning a trip in August but can not seem to find whether the schedule has been released. Thank you!

Arsenal-Gimnasia La Plata
Gimnasia de Jujuy-San Lorenzo
Quilmes-Estudiantes
Boca-Banfield
Lanús-River Plate
Colón de Santa Fe-Independiente
Newell´s-Vélez
Racing-Nueva Chicago
Argentinos-Godoy Cruz
Belgrano-Rosario Central.

Based on this thread, I'm going to be in BA for the Boca-River game. I realize this is a huge deal. Any idea on how to get tickets? I would really appreciate feedback. Thanks!

yeah, become an "international socio". In other words, an international memeber of the club. It costs about $50 u.s.dollars. Go to RIVER stadium, tell them that you want to be one and when tickets go on sale a few days before the match wait in line with everyone else for like 3 hours and buy whichever type of ticket you want. That's what I did when I was down there. That way i didn't have to mess with scalpers which could be a bad experience. And at the same time you will support RIVER and you'll belong to the best club in Argentina for a whole year.

this is the full sschedule brought to you courtesy of tycsports.com

Thanks so much for the info. Is there a place I could look to see how many days in advance the tickets go on sale? I don't think I'll be in BA the entire week before.

Again, I really appreciate the advice.

It's diificult to say. For regular matches tickets are normally on sale about 3 days before the game but it may be different for the Boca game. They might go on sale soon after their home game in the Copa Sudamericana (scheduled for 27th Sept). Keep an eye out on the River website and/or the local papers for details of when tickets go on sale.

I'm in BA on holiday for week 12 and would like advice please about which game you would recommend:

Velez v Independiente
River v Rosario
Racing v Boca

Would it be best to go with a tour agency or ok on my own ?

Thanks

Racing - Boca is probably the biggest of those 3 but it depends who's doing well at the time. Also one of the games (probably Velez) will be on a different day so you could see more than one if you're really keen! Boca & River usually play on Sundays.
I reckon you could go to River or Velez on your own ok, I've been a few times to each & not had any problems plus the area around the stadiums is ok. Just don't stand behind the goal as that's where the nutters usually are. Racing is a bit further out so maybe a tour would be better. I used one called GoFootball a few times and they were quite good. They have a website with contact details (www.gofootball.com.ar). Enjoy!

When I have seen games in Buenos Aires it has been with Go Football who are very good. To be honest it can be risky to go and see if football on your own in Argentina, but Go Football will pick you up from you hotel, take you to the game and drop you off afterwards. The only thing to be wary of with them is that if they say they will pick you up from your hotel at 1:00pm, they can turn up at 12:00, which can catch you off guard. But otherwise they ar very good.
