After all the doubt that people put on Zizou he came out and shows that he is still one of the top players in the world. Yes he isn't the fastest or the strongest but he controls the game at his pace. It's a shame he's retiring because he could definately play for 2-3 more years, hopefully he can end his career on top because thats where he belongs.

He has the skill plus the intelligence. Overall a better player, no doubt about it.

The thing I like about him (Zidane) is that he's just so electric to watch. He's such a playmaker. One minute he's just tapping it down field then he busts out some amazing move.

its better if he retires now as we will have good memories of him unlike Cafu who should of retired on June 30, 2002

I fully understand what your saying, it's just like when Becks scored his free kick and everyone on Earth started to kiss his a$$ again after a lot people called for him to be dropped in favor of Lennon, and while it is annoying for so many people to hop on the bandwagon, you have to give the devil his due.

Zidane owned that game yesterday, he made a mockery of the entire Brasil team and the player that is supposed to have taken over his role of not just the most exciting player on Earth but also the best player in the world.

Zidane might now be older, slower, and ready to hang up his boots but that stuff he did yesterday was vintage play form an amazing player. Also the best players do the business when the pressure is high and stakes are even higher and Zidane has won two major finals with his goals and countless games on top of that.

I am no shill for France but I have a massive respect for not just what Zidane has done in his career but also the things he can do so well on the field, I think its great that a World Cup deviod of really stong individual showings had a moment like Zidanes game yesterday which shall be remembered for some time even if France don't win the Cup.

um NO!

Are you commenting on my post with that, because you might want to be a little bit more in depth about what your trying to get at other than a "um NO!".
