After all the unfair Germany bashing here, I think I'll take a leave from this board, you obviously aren't very welcoming to incoming guests, especially those who seem to disagree with you, have a good day folks.
In da soup would be about the last person on earth to "justify what the Argentine players did"
Of course there will be disagreements  Do you think everyone here viewed the game from a German point of view. Everyone has an opinion and everyone is biased. There is no such thing as "an objective discussion." People TRY to be objective, but in the end everyone has his own mind.
We are not discussing mathematics or science here  This is football. You will only see opinions here. Each play/whistle/action/touch is interpreted in a different way.
Yes I like to repeat myself.

In his opinion, apparently putting your finger over your lips is much worse than kicking a player lying on the ground and punching another from behind.

I would be the last person to even attempt to defend a statement made by In Da Soup :D
I am purely talking about football comments. Really not interested in the fight or what caused it. Pekerman said it best; emotions were running high.
Had Argentina won the players would have probably been escorted out of the stadium ;)

It was a shame, what can I say. I understand our boys can loose, but the crying scenes are starting to piss me off. If our boys are going to cry like that, they should take their things and walk away, not stay in the pitch where they can be made fun of, provocted or anything else, they expose themselves stupidly every time and end up like that.Obviously there are so many versions of who did what, I think both camps were stupid because they all got involoved and allowed themselves to sink in this level. All this has done is highlight our loss and show once again that we are way too emotional and let ourselves get carried away in discontrol. When the ref says the game is over, the game is over, you want to cry or crap your pants. do it in the tunnel, in the bathroom, in the bus, wherever away from the cameras, but do not stay on the field making a spectacle.Tomorrow we will see cambiassos crying face in every newspaper in the world, especially in those countries that hate, us, and we will be adding more and more of those. It really sucks to see this kind of display.
Hell, I wish I had seen one Yank crying in the post Ghana footage. Then I would have thought that they really cared and had put everything that they had on the field to the point of emotional exhaustion. At least your boys gave ya that. Be proud of the them....they gave their all and were left with nothing but emotion.

That's not true, and the least you can do is be respectful yourself when things heat up like this. There will always be tempermental fans on both sides.
I give what I get, sir. Where were you when they posted Deutschbags burning our flag?
Probably laughing your ass off rather than recognizing how wrong it was to do so and post it.
You all hide behind a facade of prim and proper, but you're the worst of the worst, and the most hypocritical people on the planet.
But then again, if I had to bear the humongous SHAME of Germany's past, i'd be a hypocritical bastard too, I guess.

see, you're exactly the kind of poster that makes this board look bad. You can assume all you want about me, and actually I was against flag burning and I was one of the mods wanting to remove those pictures - but please continue to run your mouth.
Thanks for stereotyping though, pure class.

Check the "burn baby burn" thread. Several Germans just nodded in approval and laughed.
I've no sympathy for YOUR malcontent over a tiff your own boys began when you guys show no respect anyway.
You simply have the misfortune of being bunched in with the bad ones. It happens to the best of us.

I saw and know the thread, and was one of the first to complain, there's nothing worse than a bunch of overproud idiot kids to stir up even more problems at the WC. But please, do not classify every German as that, because you know it's not the case.

I've just noticed there's a blase attitude in general and little sympathy.
The handful of Germans who DID post could have voiced disapproval, but instead chose to say "Oh, it's no big deal" "oh, it's just some kids and it's alright" "oh it's just a small flag" "Oh but what about freedom of speech?"
Now, being in Frankfurt these past 24 hours has been hell. I've gotten honked at for having my Argentina jersey on, and my AFA tattoo caused some sort of giggling at the Trinkhalle close to where I am staying.
I can't say your people have been kind in the least. You might naturally understand my disgust now and why I've no sympathy for any of you.
In fact, it only makes me wish Cufre had kicked Mertesacker a couple more times in the nads this time with all the TV cameras pointed at him, and with instant replays of EVERY kick from every possible angle.

Sorry, forgiveness has run out on this side. We've had to put up with A LOT of generalizations about our team and our people; and a LOT of hypocrisy from other people who love to criticize us.
We are tired of the double standard where people claim we lack sportmanship and respect, while the same accusers go on and commit terrible acts of conduct. Borowski's flagrant & disgusting taunting, Rooney rage every game (and lets not forget, stomping on genitals), Robben diving every single game (not to mention the rest of the Dutch fouling extravaganza we saw), etc..
Just recently Bierhoff in an interview said "We know the South Americans tend to be very emotional and hot headed".
You northern europeans do all this talk against racism and discrimination during FIFA games, and then I read and hear all this crap implying or outright accusing "Latins" of bad behavior and the underlying suggestion that somehow Germans, Dutch, Swedes, and English, don't cheat, dive, foul harshly or ever do anything to disrespect the sport.

After watching the game again i'm even more pissed off.
Looks like this game was a little fixed to me...
What did lehman have in his socks?
I heard that before every player from Argentina went out to shoot, the anouncer in the stadium anounced the player, and where they usually like to shoot.....

That's not match fixing- it's called "doing homework".
A lot of the calls by the ref were highly dubious however.

History? What history? when? Did you not see the other games?
There was disrespect going on (probably in both directions) and that shit escalates. Don't say that it's because we have a history. Are you sure you aren't English?
obviously either you don't argentine soccer or you don't know the factst. Our under 20 team was suspended for several years from competition in the past for beating up the brasil team. Not only that, in the under 20 WC played in Portugal, we ended up beating the crap out of the Portuguese in their own country and got another 2 year suspension for our national NT.In the libertadores cup, we also have a history of sour grapes, I saw a Lanus game against a brasilian team, and because the brasilians beat us 4- 0 the fans and the players went insane and chased the opponents throught the field and beat the hell out of them with the cops only watching as the brailian player where climbing the fence to survive the beating. We do have a hisotyr of this and I hope one day this changes.
