Has anyone tried personalising there boots themselves, after muchios consideration i'm getting the Black V1.06's and im contemplating getting the old sewing machine out and putting a number 5 on the top bit of the boot, same placing as where R&W's South Africa bits are.
Being a man and the sewing machine being a machine i doubt it'll cause much trouble on the brain, and if I do screw up then the thread can be pulled out easily enough.

The only thing I did was put Total 90 stickers on my Vapor II's. That worked ok, but nothing cosmetic to the boot.

Maybe you could do the "Crouchy 21" thing at the cobblers, they should be able to do it if you want that instead.

I think you'll find it really hard to do it yourself as you wont be able to get the tongue under the sewing machine very well. The best thing to do is to order them from somewhere like pro-direct and get them to stitch it on for you if you really want to get it done. Other than that you could get some white fabric paint and maybe do it like that?

I have my name under the puma stripe on mine like crouchy. But a friend at Villa got that done for me but it looks really smart on my black ones!

Got them from Just-Socca who charged me for the next day delivery, and then rang me up the next day saying that they were having to re-stock their Puma's so the boots would be with me by the beginning of next week. I wrote them an email saying do I still have to pay for next day delivery and they replied saying that its actually 'Expected' next day delivery, not in actual fact. Cheers for letting me know when I got them Just Socca!

Spring season just ended, summer season's about to start, so I just ordered new boots, all of which came this week.

My latest boots:

They were dirt cheap at Final-Score.com (US$39, originally US$175)

And finally, after reading such good things about the F30s here, I bought a pair from Eurosport:

Finally, for those wondering what one person could do with so many boots (I think I've posted close to 20 pair here), I donate most of them to the US Soccer Foundation's Passback Program (http://www.passback.org), so that kids who otherwise couldn't afford gear can get a really nice pair of boots. To date, I've donated 15 pair of boots of my own, plus donations from my friends and teammmates.

Is it just me, or does the tongue on the Hummel boots look way too bulky to be on a cleat? They almost look like the tongue on a skateboarding shoe.

Great to hear that you donate your boots through that program though, I did that with two pairs a while ago.

I cant say for sure if the paint would stay on. But i think the Crouchy Cobbler thing is taking your boots to a cobbler and see if he can stitch a 5 onto the boots for you.

I suppose just socca can get away with it because they only charge £80 for the boots when other places charge £99 for them. But it is a bit crap they should have told you they were out of stock. I never had any problems with the next day delivery thing from them though. If you do ever order anything from prodirect and if you tell them you NEED the boots they will actually do next day delivery! but you have to request it otherwise you will end up waiting a good few days for the boots.

The Hummel's are pretty snug, but I'm sure after a few uses, the leather will stretch some and fit perfectly. They may be the softest boots I've ever tried on, softer than even my King Execs.
