The World Cup is over for us. Pure pain and anger is what I feel. I cannot blame anyone other than Pekerman for this. I can't ask for anything else from the team. They left everything in all the matches, and always tried their hardest.. But the once who ********ed up this campaign was, the one, the only, Pekerman.
Tell me.. Why would you put Cambiasso? We only had two substitutions left, and he obviously wasn't the player we needed in the field. Plus, everyone knew Mascherano plays better without him.
Then came Cruz.. What.. the... ********... was.. that?!?!? Cruz is good and all, but why put him over Saviola and Messi.. Did you really think he would change the flow and/or score of the game?
The decision to make Ayala kick a penalty.. Why, why, why? I can name you several players who I'd rather have shoot over el Raton.. Who? Lucho Gonzalez (one of the best Penalty kickers I've EVER seen), Cruz, Tevez, Mascherano, Maxi Rodriguez, Cambiasso.. Even Sorin and Heinze are waaaay better options then him..
Now for the goalie part.. Everyone had forgotten about Lux's absence, and it seemed as if it didn't affect the team. But today, it showed how much of a ridiculous decision Pekerman made to leave el Poroto out.. I would have definetly prefered to see Lux defending our goal instead of Leo Franco.. Sure, the Germans kicked all their penalties magnificently, but I am sure Lux would not have thrown himself to the opposite side everytime they shot.
I hated Pekerman since he assumed the position.. Since his first day as National Coach, he has been ********ing up. But now, after what he did to us, I hate him more.. He had already been doing retarded ass shit through out the whole tournament.. Think about it..
- The game vs. Ivory Coast.. We were doing good, but then IC started attacking and was close to a tie. Our dumbass coach decided to put Palacio in and leave him as our only foward.. Like that would make a difference.
- The game vs. Mexico.. Took forever to make the changes.. Can he get any stupider?
We were lucky to have made it this far with his dumb decisions.. But if he never learned, and kept on repeating these errors, we were bound to get eliminated.. and that's what happened.. Our disqualification is 100% Pekerman's fault.. I congratulate the team for trying their hardest, and I congratulate Pekerman for leaving the team.. I hope you have nightmares about this the rest of your life.. Hmm.. Sounds like I am being a little harsh on Pekerman.. Perhaps.. But in my opinion, I am not.. It's not one or two mistakes.. It has been mistake after mistake after mistake since he joined the team.. Many times when a team doesn't do good, the coach is the one that is blamed.. Although this happens, it's not always completely the coach's fault.. There are often players who haven't been playing well or other things going on.. But this time everyone did great except him.. Goodbye Pekerman.. I hope you isolate and lock yourself up like Bielsa did (you deserve it, unlike el Loco ;) )

No hate from me. I do think that Pekerman is responsible for our loss today, to a large extent, because of his poor substitutions. But I like what he did with the team, I like the attitude, and I like the style of play. I hate that we lost and I think he made some mistakes due to lack of experience, but I cannot hate the guy. And he is a class act.

A ver.. Mostrame una vez que dije que Jose era un grande.. Nunca lo he dicho, y nunca lo dire.. Es un pecho frio amargo que no sirve para nada.. Estuvo cometiendo errores desde que llego, y parece que nunca va a parar.. Gracias a dios va a renunciar, sino me mataba..

Dejalo tranquilo a Pekerman.

It probably is. I want to enjoy roman next season. Because we probably will not see any players like him in the future.

the only one im really sad to see go like this is ayala, and maybe crespo. riquelme should have played better and hopefully aimar shows us why he was proclaimed the next maradona, despite what his age will be. i always liked riquelme and defended him but i'm out of excuses and think that he should of played alot better, like the first 10 min of this match.

Argentina just couldn't score today. I don't think the blame should go toward Pekerman. The team today made me think of Colombia who often play really well but can never score because they want to dribble the ball into the net.
The substitions,
The first substitution was a forced substition and it was unfortunate. I am 95% certain that the third sub would have been Messi if Pato hadn't gone down.
Two players played poorly today: Riquelme and Crespo. Crespo was hitting balls out of bounds, doing silly hand balls, just making stupid mistakes. Riquelme was really slow. I think both of the changes were warrented.
Cambiasso was put in because with the lead, I imagine Pekerman wanted to play a bit more defensively. You can debate whether Pekerman should have been Messi in for Crespo, but I think the Cruz option was not a bad idea.
I was pretty sad after the game but I am feeling better now!

Actually I think Argentina could have dribbled the ball into the net-I think Messi's gambetta could have done the trick. What I sensed on their(Argentina's) part was a lack of urgency- they hardly had any speed.
But that's not neccessarily Riquelme's fault- Riquelme is one piece of the puzzle, and a slow one at that, but his job isn't to chase after the ball, it's to create space and pass.
You know what I think we need? Someone like Batistuta. Someone like Ronaldo. Crespo is past his prime. He's world class, but we need some excellent finishers. Maybe Crespo when he was playing at Lazio, or when he was playing for Milan. Not now. But, he does have seniority and you just can't leave out Crespo.
I really wish Aguero had come instead of Cruz. I bet the next DT, if he has any sense that is, will certainly bring Aguero, assuming he's doing well of course.

Oh man
this is so sad
Sad to see Crespo go, sad to see Riquelme do nothing and not play up to the expectations people had for him.
I just cant wait to see this new generation of players playing as starters with a little more experience under their belts.
Oh well next time.. I just wonder who the next cabeza de area will be.

I'm sorry, but protecting a 1-0 lead at 65-70mins is pretty stupid imo. I think Aimar should have come in for Roman. You don't take out all your firepower for a defensive midfielder and an average striker. You were left with no game breaker for about 50-60 mins. Roman was tired/ineffective but he should've been replaced with fresh legs not tactical defense. I'm not shedding any tears over Argentina but I was disappointed with the decisions. Would've loved to see Bra vs Arg in the final. My condolences (sp?).
