Fantastic team packed with talent tries to sit on a one goal lead, playing negative football, and concedes the midfield to a weaker side.
Taxi coming for a team near you ;)
Yep, a definite lesson there, particularly with regard to defensive-minded substitutions.

sven never learns .
if we are in front with 20 minutes left he will send on defensive subs to hold the lead .

Yeah, Argies shot themselves in the foot doing that. Same will probably happen to us again, old coaches like Eriksson rarely change their habits.

If we are leading with 20 mins to go he'll bring on 3 defenders then it'll probably all ******** up.

Sven will have learned what he already knew: Teams that start well rarely finish well. Lay off Sven - he hasn't put a foot wrong yet. If we lose then get the knives out.

England tend to concede midfield possession anyway against teams more adept at keeping possession, looking to make quick breaks when the opportunity arises. Its one of the reasons that many England games are dull for neutrals
Its a tricky one as whilst I dont want England to sit back I also want them to track runners as its only natural that the opposition will show more attacking intent when looking to score.
If England play an open game tomorrow they will get beaten - remember Keegan?
England should only take controlled risks if/when they do go one up. More importantly they should try to defend as high up the pitch as possible although with Terry in the side I can see England ending up on the edge of their own six yard box.
Prediction -
England to win 2-0

well, as long as he doesn't sub off joe cole and gerrard and replace them with two defenders.
you can see how that leaves you in the smelly stuff if there's a late equaliser.
good luck for tomorrow.
