QUESTION: Name the only country ever to drop out of the World Cup because they could not pay the registration cost? Name the country, year, and the registration cost that they could not pay. I know the answer to most but need the registration cost. Anyone?

Two new questions that will probably have the same answers for a while..

Longest winning streak for a team? for a coach?

Both ended today.

This isn't really the type of knowledge that is thrown out to the public. You'd probably have more success if you contacted FIFA.

C'mon, why do you think such information would be available in a World Cup history book?

I've had numerous World Cup history book. The last thing I would be interested in is the registration fee of the AFC World Cup participation in 1978. Who would be insane enough to be interested in such nonsense? You mean World Cup history book would rather tell you this than the Arg/Hol final? the Peru/Arg scandal? Mario Kempes? how Brazil got jobbed?

If you want to find out the answer because you want to win a trivia, that's exactly the reason why they ask such a dumb question, because they know such nonsense is NOT publicly available.

Trivia:

what date was the World Cup final replay of 1974 scheduled?

"C'mon people, someone must have a World Cup history book to look this up. I would really appreciate the answer".

No World Cup history book would tell you the scheduled date of the WC Final replay because the replay was not needed. You can only find out the date if you have seen the WC schedule of 1974, or more likely, you actually follow the World Cup from that era...

That's NOT all you did. You are showing yourself as an a**:

"C'mon people. Someone must have a book on world cup history that they could look this up."

without this nonsense, I wouldn't have bashed you. YOu are interested in an answer, but you don't have to act like a jerk for something you are interested in...

I don't like your wording. That's why I respond. I can respond to an impolite request which ever way I like. Now what?
