Just watching Sky Sports News. Apparently Sepp Blatter said that England was the most negative team at the World Cup or words to that effect. How the hell does he get to that conclusiion? Good on ya, Becks...I like what you said. A team wins the way they do and if you don't like that way...tough! I've said this in another forum - the World Cup is NOT supposed to be entertainment. It's a competiition. Yes, it's fantastic when you get an exciting match but the teams are playing to win. So if that turns out to be boring...so be it. If you want entertainment, watch a film.

While i'm not always a fan of the English style of play, i'm happy he did argue this with Blatter
I also read that Blatter said this, what does the guy want? 32 teams all playing like the Harlem Globetrotters in basketball? I'd prefer real Football thanks Sepp.

I saw Beckham's interview. I don't think he lashed out at Blatter. He just stressed the importance of staying positive and looking ahead and getting results. It seems Neville is the one who came closest to having a go at Blatter.

Can you imagine the commissioner of any other sport - say David Stern of the NBA or Paul Tagliabu of the NFL - commenting on a team's style of play? It's absurd.

Blatter has got to go.
Apart from being in an investigation regarding his election and bribery in Switzerland, he is the one who tries to slow down any technological progress that would grant a better refereeing.
Biased refs in Korea 2002 make you wonder why, apparently only to win the important Asian market...
Lets hope Beckenbauer or Platini take over!

That would be funny if I didn't see an element of truth in it!

Blatter seems to have a go at anyone that is criticized by tabloids. He's not trustworthy. Just a sad figure in football ...

Blatter ALWAYS criticises England, no matter what. He criticises the Premiership for having too much power, too many foreigners, too many clubs, too many games, too much money, too much spent on transfers, high wages, english hooliganism, any opportunity he gets.

That is what I say. He's not trustworthy. Lennart Johansson would have one a better job. Blatter is a cheat..he knows it..try to take focus of himself by taking sides with tabloids...

Blatter should shut his mouth, I agree we haven't played great but he's supposed to be the fifa president not a football critic or pundit.

and they would be tied to the same political and economical interests as Blatter is...otherwise they wouldn't have enough consensus to govern FIFA.
