I think a bit overrated, but he's pretty good for a 21 year older.

Overrated by whom? I've seen nothing like that? Are you talking about in Berlin?

That kid is pretty damned good from what I've seen of him, but I've seen nothing "overrating" him.

Could be, footy. Neither are that young. Depends on where he plans on playing Baier and Dejagah. Could be wrong, but I don't think either are of the defensive mind-set and with Marcelinho you are looking at the Right as the spot to play them... unless he sees them spending some time up front. Perhaps Riether is that defensive mid... Definately makes the Romanians seem to be simply squad players, though.

That would suck. I can't imagine them expecting to be mere squad players after such a tremendous season. Maybe they should have never moved.

Well, I have to agree with TOLH a bit.
He's supposed to be one of Germany's biggest prospects but every time I saw him play he left me totally disappointed. Also there are certain doubts about his attitude.
Sure, he has great technique and promise but he didn't make anything of it yet.
The only great game I saw him play was the U21 (I think) game against Austria.

Nobody talked about Rosenthal or Khedira before this season and both played much better than him but I'm confident that a coach like Magath will be able to motivate him.

I think his attitude was brought on by the situation in Berlin. He wasn't the only young player unhappy with the situation there.

I saw him have pretty freakin' good matches in the Bundesliga at Nuernberg, at Bremen and at Dortmund.

Totally agree there.

And the next signing.

Wolfsburg are on the verge of signing Edin Dzeko from Czech side FK Teplice.

According to a report in Kicker, the Bosnia international striker arrived in Wolfsburg for a medical on Tuesday and is about to put pen-to-paper on a contract.

The 21-year-old is seen as the ideal replacement for German international Mike Hanke who left Wolves for local rivals Hannover this summer.

Dzeko, who scored 16 goals in 43 appearances for Teplice and was voted best foreigner in the Czech top flight last season, will reportedly command a fee of around €4million.

According to one news source, Magath is keen on signing Makaay for Wolfsburg.

Don't think he has much of a chance, but why not go for it???

Wolfsburg have signed 21 year forward Edin Džeko from FK Teplice, the price should be around 4 million euros. Very interesting signing from Magath, Bremen was also said to have interest in the tall forward.

I didn't expect this to happen, it's definitely a surprise and I think Wolfsburg have made a good signing for the future. Edin is a good young talent, who is willing to work hard to improve, and his mentality will fit well into German football. He's very good with the head, not surprise there - the guy is 1.92. But his technique is not bad at all. As far as I know he is able to shot with both feet and his size makes him physically strong. He scored a wonderful goal for Bosnia against Turkey, and days later he helped Bosnia secure a 1-0 win over Malta by making a great assist to goal scorer Muslimovic.

The same procedure as every year but a shitload of young German talent this time, it could work out.

They've also signed Marcel Schäfer (1860) for 800k.

Hofland is already gone, as is Klimowicz. D'Alessandro permanently left, how about Menseguez (he's crap)?

Don't think much of him and probably won't see many first team minutes. Too much new blood and new coach....
