Mangable group, Wolfsburg should have enough quality to get 2nd spot as United should be favorites for #1.

Yea, it is a very manageable group.
Then again, playing away in Russia and Turkey can be very difficult for any team and it will require some strong nerves.
I can't personally wait to see the two games against United.

Wolfsburg can win this group.
This is coming from a Man U. fan. Wolfsburg can take this group.
Man U. might still be trying to find its new identity by the time that 30 September match at Old Trafford rolls around.
If Wolfsburg can steal something there, anything can happen.

wolfsburg situation in the group stages is just a big ? as one never knows how they will react to the travel to Russia and Turkey plus will they gain anything from Man. U.
Man. U might not be looking quite like themselves but they have been there done that.

Not to mention the refs. Refs are different in CL than in league play. They also tend to give penalties to your Arsenals, ManUs, Barcas, and Reals very easily. You're fighting an uphill battle in CL no matter who you are if you're not one of those sides.

Considering their placement in pot 4, this is the best group vfl could have gotten. They should do well, but then again Veh is at the helm.:D

2nd spot is not out of possibility. It all depends on how well Wolfsburg starts out. 3 points against the horses on 15/9 will be important.

The team is great but Veh is a big question mark

So... not that this is a really really important subject to the teams' success, but with Hasebe back in the squad do you think he will be part of Vehs' plans? Last year he was basically a squad player that filled in when necessary. With various additions and loan returnees, do you think his role as a squad player is over and somebody else will step up?
What do Wolfsburg faithful think his current role in the team is and his likilhood of getting experience in European competition?
Cheers, congratulations on a decent draw and good luck!

Today, you could see the difference between Felix Magath's Wolfsburg and Armin Veh's Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg looked absolutely SCARED out there day. Felix Magath would not have put up with that shit.
I think Veh was coaching more against BayScum's reputation than against their current team.
All the team did today was kneel and suck!
Wolfsburg is best when they are attacking and pushing forward. Veh had them playing scared defense and looking for the counter-attack out there today.
If he coaches them like that in the CL, this Wolfsburg team won't be there long.
Bayern looked better today, but only because Wolfsburg didn't try to give them a game.
Bayern didn't play all that freakin' well in the first half. But they didn't have to pay for anything because Wolfsburg never tried to attack until they were two goals down.
Get rid of Veh guys. The only reason you guys lost the way you did today was because Veh coached as if he was in fear before the match even started.
Again, Veh coached more against Bayern's reputation than the actual Bayern team on the field!
I wouldn't be mad if Wolfsburg played their attacking game and got beaten anyhow.
However, that was not the case at the Allianz Arena today.
Today, this Wolfsburg team was on its knees and sucking from the opening whistle!

I agree with Keith, Wolfsburg are not as bad as today's result indicate.
Today wasn't the first time the team allowed the opposition to press them as much as they did, the same thing happened against HSV and Cologne. I don't think Veh is the right replacement for Magath, at all.

Magath didn't do much today with Schalke either...and they played Freiburg!!! But I agree with Footy and FR.

Rakitic and Kuranyi are no Misimovic and Dzeko.
And it took Magath a while to get Wolfsburg going as well.

Well, they were always afraid of their own courage when playing in Munich. Even last season when Wolfsburg was up 2-0, they got scared, and lost 2-4.
But I agree, that was too much respect in first half time. I think there were not as bad as against Hamburg, but that level is not Wolfsburg....
They have lost against Hamburg, Bayern...the next opponents are Schalke, Leverkusenn.....interesting.
I think, the upcoming break because of WC games is doing good for them.

WTF does that have to do with anything??
Was Magath not the coach who drove Wolfsburg to that title last season?
Besides, NOBODY wins with Scheisse! :D
But I agree with Footy and FR.
So why the first sentence that has nothing to do with anything being discussed?

Missing a key player like Josue wasn't helpfull today against a strong offensive Bayern.
