Does anyone know of any other Wolfsburg forums where there is at least a section of it open to international folks as I know most Bundesliga forums are in Deutsch of course?

Thanks, doesn't seem to receive much use.:p
oh well, I hope not just Wolfsburg but the whole Bundesliga continues to get more and more attention like when I was younger as I really love the league.:)

If you start posting, you might attract some activity. I have an English thread on the Köln forum and it gets tons of hits.

Yeah, you are probably right.
I started a thread about it in the Germany section of big soccer but I will repeat here.
I loved all the Bundesliga coverage on Goltv and ESPN Deportes this weekend. Even when the La Liga begins, I really don't see why it needs to stop. I also like how the Bundesliga switched it up not having every match start at the same time.

Doesn't get much love here though, because it's harder for people who play themselves on the weekends to follow the league.

I have no problem as I have a modern contraption called a DVR to tape matches if I am busy during the matches.:)

I think it is this, just in gold. I noticed it on all the teams this weekend. Dont know why it is gold, though.

i thought it looked similar, but i wasn't sure why they would put a gold BL patch on the left sleeve when there is already a regular BL patch on the right sleeve. I thought it might be because they are the reigning champions, but then i noticed other teams were wearing it too.

Does anyone know why this is so this year?

I don't even have TV right now because I perceive 18€ for cable as a rip off (30 channels), even divided by 3. Has to do with the fact that I don't use it for anything else but news and Sportschau.

It has always been silly of the Bundesliga to have all of it's matches at the same time especially on Saturdays.
IF this stays like this, Goltv can televise one game live at the 3pm Central Europe time and ESPN Deportes can get that 6pm Central Europe time.
They can also do that for the Sunday two matches.
Obviously, there won't always be a Friday match but that would still be 4 matches per weekend that one could view.
Plus, they would be live rather than that taped delay crap that Goltv was doing last year.

I don't like it, for travelling fans one time fits it all was always better, last time they tried the fans brought it down through protest and boycot, don't see that happening here though. I doubt Sky's viewer numbers, or even abonement numbers, go up because of this. Spending every weekend only watching football seems rather stupid and dull to me, and therefore you miss all the action., The chances of something interesting happen in a conference on sunday are higher than during oner singel game, nobody will watch a game like Bochum vs Hanover on Sunday but the fans of those teams... We'll see.
Spon said it basically (in german though): http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/0,1518,641400,00.html

speak for yourself, unless I am visiting over in Germany, this is the only way that I can view Bundesliga matches and I personally enjoy 4 live matches over 1 or 2 matches(1 of which was always tape delayed).
When I was younger, Bundesliga was the big league. I don't expect it to jump over la liga and EPL in popularity but this will help it get more viewers from around the globe who might have the ability to view it.
Lord help me, we are only talking about 1 game not at the same time on Saturday and there are only 2 matches on Sunday.

As for people viewing matches not including the so called "power" teams in the Bundesliga, one of the best matches this past weekend was the Bochum match excitement wise.
In fact, all 5 were great. Wolfsburg match kicked it off. The Bayern vs Hoffenheim was entertaining. I was alittle sleepy during the BVB vs Koln match but then both Sunday matches were entertaining.
I can't get to matches every weekend. Heck, I might make one two or three week trip per year starting fall of 2010 but I still can't see enough matches.
I am 100 and 10% in favor of more Bundesliga live matches on tv.

Because it is more than just another "Bundesliga" patch.
The one you guys are referring to is this one.
http://www.bundesliga-stiftung.de/media/images/19_bundesliga_stiftung/02_sportler_sportler/wob_aermel_330x220.jpg
It is a special patch for the new charity foundation the DFL has started. All teams in the 1st and 2nd Bundesligas will wear this patch.
